DEATH...BY SNU-SNU

Tormund Approves...

*Jordan Peterson watches trailer, begins sobbing uncontrollably and oscillating wildly, corned beef hash erupts from every pore on his face*

Bit of an uncanny valley going on there, but nothing so egregious I wouldn’t watch it.

I think what amuses me the most about Raimi’s take on the MCU is how he (and Waldron) managed the mid-section MCU fan service (and I’m writing this as a fully signed up MCU fan). They’re essentially saying “oh, you want to see alternative versions of your heroes and dream about what they could achieve? Here ya go. Now

Anyone able to figure out who the statue in the Illuminati building was of? I’m sure it had significance but couldn’t place it.

When he showed up on screen, I gasped.  I wasn’t expecting Haley Atwell, or Anson Mount either.

Since this is a SPOILER -marked thread, and I just finished watching the movie, I have to ask:

As soon as the end of Wandavision happened with her in her pocket dimension reading the Darkhold, I knew she was going to break bad. I just wasn't expecting her to go that bad.

I loved this movie!

From the moment Strange battles Evil Strange with music until America finds herself is a wonderful Raimi ride. Those spirits battling Christine was pure, perfect Raimi. Even their voices. The movement of the demons also felt different from other CGI Marvel. More Army of Darkness stop-motion feel. I dug it and then the

I imagine there were other callbacks and references, but they were mostly minor background details. (And also the fact that Harrow’s magic was purple, which generally signifies “bad shit” in the MCU

If this show does get a second season, I want it to start with Layla and Tawaret having a nice brunch together for their quarterly review. Tawaret seems like a much more pleasant boss.

Well, they explained it as Marc’s the original persona and Steven had to be let out from the sarcophagus.  They noticed a second sarcophagus, but chose to not open it.

She’s the avatar of Taweret now. At first I was caught off guard because, while an organic plot development, it was an instance of me being pretty sure the superhero moniker is completely original. If I was new to Marvel I wouldn’t have batted an eyelash, but being pretty familiar with it, it took me out of it.

Nope. It was Tawaret, and she was awesome.

Omuamua was actually a space whale.
