This isn't EXACTLY a camper, but it is a great way to camp. I can see my Tacoma ending up somewhere like this:

I was seriously considering one of these recently. Some day.

Toyota Chinook pop-top on 4x4 frame.

The original Scion xB

I can haz?

I frequent the Georgia DMV (Dekalb Co. division) rather frequently and it generally is a good experience. If I get there around 11:30 there is never any wait.

Now playing

Helicopter rail slide followed by helicopter 720.

When I decided I was going to get a little convertible to offset the gas cost of a truck, I considered this and the Miata. These are pretty good for what they are, but in the end the answer, as always, was Miata.

Totally would have cleared it without the trailer and tractor.

And by the way, if your near Georgia and looking, ping me.

I'm on my 4th 1st gen 4Runner. My posse has at least 8 of them. No way in hell we'd pay that price for one. I think the most we've spent was $4500 for one with under 100K on the clock.

Love that car. I'd like to get my NA up to those numbers. Swapping in a 1.8 shortly than a little turbo love.

My dad lives in Orlando and got his Grand Caravan stolen a while back. And yup, he left the keys in it.

No restraint, no roof, no problem!

What I find interesting is the big cadre of gay automotive journalists. This is not a dig at anyone, btw, but through friends who are automotive journalists (gay and not) it appears there is a large percentage of journos who are, in fact gay. Some of my favorite writers!

As my BMW friend says (insert terrible german accent) "The engine, she is a good. The bits? They are shit."

Love the M45! Would do the same.

Rebuilding the front axle on a FJ80 - not too hard, but a dirty job. Replacing the steering box on the same was absolutely terrible.
