With Dart going full size and eating cats
At the risk of disagreeing with the reviewer again, I thought that sequence worked fine. It goes directly to Eleven’s whole situation, that she’s been unable to see Mike in-person for almost a year, whereas this other girl can just hang around him as much as she wants.
Darts lack of flower mouth-face in his young form made this believable to me. Made sense that Will is the one to get it before the others.
considering noah schnapp was pretty much absent for most of season 1 (except for the pilot) i was afraid his acting might not be up to par with the other kids, but holy crap. he brings it every single time.
He always projects his own flaws onto other people
So disappointing. Princess Lea was right there! She could have grabbed that Remington bronze behind her and bonked him.
I agree with the White Josh bit. As great as his relationship with Daryl is, Daryl’s assessment of him in the premiere hit the nail on the head. He does seem to think he’s better and more “normal” than others to the point he seems to lack the ability to understand the value of other people.
Case in point: White Josh…
It’s definitely a bad look for Josh’s friends. Part of the effectiveness, IMO, is that Rebecca has been obsessed with Josh forever and would know exactly what kinds of crazy are right next to his personality. (I would totally believe he’s an anti-vaxxer for no good reason)

Not only is this terrible as a thing to swipe in a desperate attempt to feed the content maw, seeing this elevated over the likes of Horsefellow or Stacy512 is like watching Pat Boone go gold with “Tutti Frutti.”
oh my god has it truly come to this
I’m the kind of movie-goer who loves horror movies but hates when horror movies end on a dour note. It’s weird, but I hate when the evil isn’t “vanquished, if only temporarily” at the end. The lack of optimism retroactively makes the fun horrible things in the film worse for me. That’s why I tend to love slasher…
If you haven’t you should watch 24X36: A Movie About Movie Posters, it’s depressing how much the art has been lost from movie posters.
And they have a bit of film school cred so they like to attack story structure, which you hardly ever get in other YouTube reviews (Mostly just “Jurrassic World is awful cuz the lady had heels!”
The difference is Love. You can feel that Honest Trailers loves the medium and they making fun of it in much the same way you’d joke about one of your friends.
I discovered the opposite to Cinema Sins videos (I think it was called Cinema Wins or something like “Everything right with X movie”) where they take a movie everyone tends to shit on and highlight all the actual good moments and things that did work. I watched one about Spider-man 3 and a few others. Much better than…
“What If Someone Was Willfully Obtuse About This Film’s Plot, The Writer’s Intention, And The Process Of Filmmaking Altogether?”
“Invest in a company with seemingly unlimited legal liabilities? Sign me up!”
They could always try rebranding to The Alan Smithee Company.
I always enjoy how Netflix will have a huge collection of horror movies from like March thru September and then lose all of them right around the time anyone wants to watch them.
