Wow the comments in this post are dominated by white fashion. In a lot of these era's minorities were wearing very different clothes, even in the nineties!

In the nineties I remember my black friends dressed differently than my white and Asian friends. Also club wear was very student than day wear. So what you think of as nineties fashion really changed depending upon where you lived and what you were into. :)

I'm actually quite sick right now, please read my earlier responses...

You rock, and don't get me wrong, I totally support breastfeeding,I just get frustrated with the debate from time to time...

Alright, you're right I'm a terrible person. You win...

*please read my response to CA if he hasn't already dismissed this thread for me* Not in the head space for this and never should've commented.

Please go ahead and dismiss, i'm not really in the head space for this discussion at the moment. I don't think that one shouldn't discuss something if they're not actively volunteering, but i also do get frustrated from time to time with passion that doesn't effect change. (Does that make sense?) And after the

Great, then i hope you're volunteering with a non-profit that's helping low income women who want to breast feed! :)

Great! I know of some great organizations that help low-income women with breastfeeding, i'm sure they'd love to have someone like you helping them with their outreach to these mothers :)

Sorry that wasn't my intent. As you know i'm coming at this from a non white, middle class perspective and was just talking about this issue with my family/elders and, yeah this was the more universal part of that discussion (meaning not specific to NA communities). After reading the crazy on here, can you please

Unpopular opinion alert... I really wish these women would spend all that time and energy into changing structural issues that affect all women, not just breast feeding ones. Things like access to child care, flexible work hours, fmla laws, protections for pregnant women who are working,etc... as far as I can tell

If you go back and read what I posted I noted that it started in a heavily Asian part of the country, lactose intolerance may have been the initial reason, but I never stated it was the sole reason. Also SoCal is a very mixed part of the country and trends go national from there. And you're reading way too much into

Yes but not all folks who are lactose intolerant react to it,esp if it has live cultures for some weird science reason...

Asians that's why, cuz lactose intolerance is common within the population. The trend started in LA's k-town and moved on from there. It's weird I know this, lol!

LOL, after all that excitement he just want's to be left alone!!!

BTW you should see the interview he gave after and the weather channel has a cute pic of all the kittens after they were cleaned up!

Here's the take from Indian Country and yes we're quite excited thank you, and no we don't think this solves a thing...cuz football ;(

Whoa did this post blow up on you! I used to work with AA communities, and married into the community although i'm neither asian nor white. But once things calm down here i thought you might be interested in this discussion and these shenanigans... I now have to go calm my hubs down cuz i sent him these links too and
