I’ve outright linked to the research stating that there is no regular electrical activity in the brain until ~24 weeks. Which in a born human usually means brain death. It doesn’t change their view.

I once lived in a big room with six other teenagers (there were 45ish kids in the building) and it was sort of awesome. I mean, if I could live in a commune without all the sucky cult aspects, I probably would. I miss a lot of things about it.

I’m a little late, but...

I GOT MY DRIVERS PERMIT ON MONDAY. Well, I’m 30. But still. I had a really bad driving phobia (last time I drove was when I was 15). But now I’m driving! And on track to get my license before the end of the month!

They may be a small percentage, but damnit, they’re louder than the other 99.5% of military people.

I’m watching it right now and I’m amazed by her hair.

I’m pretty sure pantsless day is some outgrowth of Improv Everywhere.

My friend is mostly reenacting WWII era stuff.

It’s been a think for about 15-20 years. My aunt and her son “had” it. Found a doctor to give them a year (!!!) long prescription of antibiotics. Had to travel out of state to find a doctor who would. She self diagnosed herself back in the olden days of the internet, you know, AOL and such. Her son didn’t have ADHD,

I have a friend who claims to have chronic fatigue due to Epstien Barr. I don’t argue with her- I *completely* believe that chronic fatigue (that is, chronically feeling fatigued for no apparent reason) is a true condition. Whether it’s a subtype or manifestation of depression or a separate disease, I don’t know. I do

I have a friend who use to participate annually and then post ALL THE PHOTOS on facebook.

Thankfully she’s gotten older and switched to historical reenactment cosplay. The photos are much less disturbing.

I was sitting next to a manspreader *at the DMV* yesterday. There were no other seats, I was B128 and they were on B103 (plus they had a queue for A, C, D, E, and fucking F) so giving up my seat to stand was not advisable. It was definitely not sexy.

I’m pretty sure that’s from one of those pants free subway rides.

Nader took 2-5 times as many democratic votes away from Gore than he did from Bush. It doesn’t matter that some democrats voted for Bush, Bush wasn’t a spoiler candidate as he was *actually a viable candidate*. Some republicans voted for Gore. Every election cycle you have this dynamic.

The fact is, the majority of

There are some stores where I’m ALWAYS asked this (and I’m white. Very white.) but I’ve also gone shopping with my cousin (who is black) and had HER asked, but not me. Which was... awkward.

Nader is a large part of why we had Bush (the other reason being Florida). He was a third party candidate with no chance of winning, but still managed to pull a little less than 3% of the vote.

Dude, Al Gore almost won. Nader was a spoiler candidate, causing him to lose and ushering in 8 years of Bush.

I really wonder why someone would choose a donor in his late 50s... but then again, not really my business? And I guess if you want a known donor, your options are more limited...

Ugh! But I’m glad you’re feeling better!

Oh, when you put it that way....

Totally an atheist, totally celebrate secular versions of major holidays. I actually think debunking Santa/Easter Bunny/Tooth Fairy/etc is an important first step towards developing a healthy skepticism. Also, I like traditions and rituals.

I never said it wasn’t?
