There is literally one military prison for women. It is very small. All women from all branches go there.

You know what? My SO has an affair, that is on him(or her). My SO had better be a full grown adult human, who is capable of basic things like impulse control. Not someone I have to babysit and supervise.

I can understand a no tip policy for a transition period. Big fan of it? Not really... but I understand it. Ideally you work towards a middle ground.

Recasting *any* ethnic minority character in a civil rights story (or other historical story) is going to be problematic. Even if the story isn’t of a prominent civil rights leader. You aren’t going to have a lot of civil rights plays where all the parts are white characters.

I would say that the only situation where you get away with this is at a school that is literally all white. Like, a high school in rural Idaho.

This sounds adorably cringeworthy. You should upload it to YouTube.

One of my brothers hasn’t cut his hair in over a year, as seen in this stealth identity concealing photograph. He refuses to have it put up in a bun, ponytail, headband, or anything else so when you’re watching him at soccer or karate you are really just watching this big hair blob. He doesn’t believe me that man buns

I believe my state requires infant ratios of 1:3 and preschool ratios of 1:10. Plus center director, custodian, etc salaries. The preschool ratio has to be lower if there are diapers (yes, many 3 year olds need diapers).

There is actually a robot kitten (Zoomer Kitty) that is out for Christmas.

CP has a broad range of presentations, and can co-occur with intellectual disability. In this case, it seems to. We should always assume competence, especially with more profound motor disabilities, however whatever mode of communication is used it should not be FC. Many people use AAC successfully.

She took his hand and made his hand type “yes”.

He isn’t vegetative- he is conscious. He has multiple disabilities, but is able to communicate. He can show a preference for types of foods or music... this is communication. He is a person, and is there, he just has severe motor and cognitive disabilities.

DCS took custody of the child on Thursday, likely for medical neglect. She was, unfortunately, allowed continued contact.

It’s okay. I’m really not upset with you, I do understand where you’re coming from.

I’m going to assume you are human and

Firstly, if there is a time for rage, an innocent child’s murder would be that time. Secondly, I AM a “member of the disability community”, as are many of my friends and family. As is the person in the post I linked to above, and as are many of the other posters expressing similar outrage. You are tone policing, and

I sprained my ankle during volleyball tryouts (I was made to run ten “up and overs” for being ten minutes late to a 5 am practice, at 10!) and the bitch of a coach didn’t let me on the team.

It’s about the relative value of disabled and non-disabled lives. A disabled child is killed by a parent, there is almost always great sympathy for the parent and little comment on the child’s life, by most individuals. When a non-disabled child is killed by a parent, there is (usually) outrage and anger. Our society

Given the fact that s/he called me a fat housebound MRA (and I believe delusional... I dismissed the response, but someone called me delusional) I doubt he’ll read that, but I am and appreciate that you linked to it.

CPS was removing (or had removed) custody. So, she wasn’t alone in the world with her child, there were support services, even if they weren’t the kind she liked.
