I feel bad for you if you’ve only ever been to towns where the local beers, without exception, are all bad. I had the first generation ones, and they started cracking within a couple months. Sony replaces them with the second generation model, which I have now had for seven months. No signs of cracking yet, so I think they fixed the issue between models. I would assume the issue remains fixed.
