I play in a hometheater set up and the light affects the contrast a bit on the projected screen, not to mention it lights up the darkened room. Also, I have a bad habit if playing with the controller up in my face and the light shines right in my eyes. Seriously though, they could have gone with IR lights instead.

right?

I completely understand that, but even if you're shooting video non stop all day, slapping a giant battery on the hotshoe seems like a worse idea than carrying back up batteries and swapping them out when you need them. You could also just get a battery grip.

call me crazy, but I've never had an issue with dslr batteries not making it through the day (or a couple of days) even with heavy use. Not only that, slapping on a huge battery on top seems worse than just the tried and true practice of carrying a backup battery.

If I wasn't given a middle name, would it be wrong to just give myself a middle initial?

what do you think the cartoon was about?

just like I said, you're holding on to your childhood. I'm a pretty big fan of the turtles growing up watching the cartoons and reading the comics. I have no shame in saying that I loved them so much I fooled myself into thinking they were actually real in the movies. I don't see this as "raping a franchise" and

I'm not going to argue with you beyond this post because you're clearly hung up on your argument, but I never said the uncanny valley isn't real, I just personally don't think it applies in this instance because large walking human turtles don't exist. Like I said, you distaste of them is subjective. You distaste of

That's your subjective opinion about the look, but the complaint that they should look like goofy cartoon characters is most definitely nostalgia.

Saying, "I don't like X" is not the same as saying, "they're not supposed to look like X." You don't like the new look, fine, you don't like it. I don't want to qualify what kind of turtle fan I am (I'll just say that I'm wearing a ninja turtle shirt at the moment and didn't even know it because I have way too many

it's nostalgia. When someone says, "They're meant to be goofy cartoon characters, not outtakes from Predator," you know they're just holding on to their childhood. I don't mind the new look and am holding off judgment until I see the movie.

I had this problem even back with the first dark souls but if I try to run the game on my TV through hdmi, it just won't load. Fortunately for me I can play it fine on my monitor through a dvi connection.

Youtube and Alton Brown are a match made in heaven.

Or, you know, you could just use parchment paper.

This article saddens me deeply. Ever since the first Halo, I've played every game on the hardest setting just because it wasn't fun otherwise. It's sad when instead of making the enemies smarter, all that happens in the hardest setting is that they get better aim and their weapons start shooting grenades.

Imagine if I could get my hands on a Hasselblad? Holy shit!

Not sure if this relates to the video (can't watch it at the moment) but nothing riles me up more than when I show people pictures on my phone that I took with my dslr and they say, "wow! your phone takes really nice pictures!" and then after an explanation that I used my dslr I get, "Oh...I should really get one too.

1. the case can fit two drives. You can put them in there.

but that would make too much sense!

I didn't mind the original ending but it left a bad taste in my mouth that they didn't tailor the ending to showcase your favorite characters and they didn't focus on the characters mourning shepard. They fixed that second part in the fixed ending. I was ok with the endings after that.
