Fall is, without hyperbole, my favorite thing about life on earth. My image of a perfect day involves fog and chill and pumpkins and piles of yellow leaves on the ground. It involves snuggling up with blankets and coffee and bundling up in wooly sweaters and thick socks and listening to crows cawing from the branches…

Lecturing other people more passionate than you about why they shouldn’t be emotionally invested in the adaptation isn’t much of a hobby either, mofo.

Go read the books then get back at me. I recommend the audiobooks as they are great. I’ve also read most of GRRM’s 1000 world short stories. At what point is talking about a tv show getting angry on the internet. It seems you have a low bar. 

Everything I’ve seen is that it will be written by “Benioff, Weiss and Woo.” Is there confirmation that Woo will be head writer over Benioff and Weiss? I think the natural inclination is to remember their time on GoT and their decision to get rid of other writers and just handle almost all episodes themselves…

Season 5-8 gets worse with each season. As someone that really likes the books and have watched so many amazing analysis/theory videos(a few bad ones too), I think the ending might be similar to the shows ending. The problem was the getting there. I don’t want to spoil the show if you don’t know the ending but…

The show was pretty good until they ran out of book and none of the top notch actors could save the show. 

The books are amazing. I kind of hope that there will be another adaptation once all the books are done which might take 20 years at this point. The books are much better at showing how this sexist racist feudal system doesn’t work at all. You also get to see how everyone participates in the system.

Having finally just finished the five books of GOT, I dislike these two heartily as well. I watched Season 1 of GOT before I read any of the books and just had to stop there because it was so sleazy and sexist; boobs and rape everywhere. Now, the books have their sexist moments, but by and large rape is what the bad…

I’m with you there, but we don’t really know that “The High Woman in the Castle” was incapable of doing her own homework. If she was sharp enough to use her brother’s and dad’s macho bullshit to get them to do stuff for her, I suspect she was also sharp enough to do her own algebra. It was probably just fun to take…

I have never in my life have done anything out of the principle of wanting to show up or assert my dominance over another social group. And yeah, if I had I wouldn’t tell it like a funny little anecdote.

Oh my god, that’s funny. Nothing says “I am a strong, confident man” like intentionally hurting yourself just because there are lots of women around you. Also, I find it really hard to believe that every single woman in the program was vegetarian or vegan.
