The last time I donated blood, I opted to do a red blood cell donation. It’s a longer process because a machine takes out your blood, filters it to specifically collect red blood cells, and then pumps the rest of it back into you. It took about two hours, so the donation center had a bunch of movies on hand that donors

Give blood. Because convalescent blood is in demand right now, many blood donation centers are also performing covid antibody testing on all donations. So you save a life, find out your blood type, find out if you have antibodies and potentially save even more lives, all for 30 minutes of your time. And they give you

I actually miss the days when the most annoying part of a website was an animated banner ad or popup (and to think we used to complain). Now it’s the notification about cookies, a popup asking you if they can send you notifications, asking you if the site can use your location, ads everywhere, an auto-playing video

The first browser that has a built in way to stop those annoying paywall, notification, cookie popups without completely disabling a site will get me to switch. I keep trying different ones but I haven’t found one yet that works very well. I end up with a half dozen extensions just trying to make surfing bearable.

“Rap.” Lol. So much racism condensed into so small a sentence.

I guess it's a matter of taste, but no, the Hamilton Mixtape is not better, sure I love the Immigrants, We get the job done song, but the others are alright compared to the OBC album.

The Hamilton Mix Tape is not better than the original sound track.

This is stupid. Why would I pay for a platform to show me a movie that IS NOT the movie, but the platforms interpretation of what I should be seeing in the movie?

Freedumb.

You could just shorten that and simply say: they believe rights are for whites.

because there are just soooo many horrible white women named Kelly out there.

Absolutely, Kelly! We can’t have mob rule! We need to stop armed mobs from trying to storm state houses and threatening governors!

Not surprising: the (lack of) response from the gun community to the murder of Philando Castile, a card-carrying member of the NRA (who was shot because he informed a cop that he was carrying [legally] and the cop freaked out and shot him) tells the whole story.

Agreed. I’m not nearly as busy as you are, but if I don’t write down what I’m doing and when I’m doing it, my forward momentum derails. I’ve tried online scheduling, but it doesn’t work for me. Some planners sell self-improvement and inspiration/aspiration more than others, but that doesn’t render the concept any less

Erin Condren aside, why so dismissive about “the planner community”? For people like me, a single mother with a full time job and several side projects to try to make ends meet, having a written down schedule is completely crucial. And I also use my Passion Planner (check them out as a very good alternative to

I don’t understand people who schedule every minute of their lives. But she’s made millions off of it so I guess it works for a lot of people.

Yup. Amy knew EXACTLY what she was doing. Maybe she hoped that the implicit threat of calling the murder squad NYPD would scare him off and get him to stop...politely asking her to follow a simple rule. But that’s a pretty generous read. She knew precisely what she was doing when she said “AN AFRICAN-AMERICAN MAN IS

THIS.

The only thing I’d suggest is that this line doesn’t strike me as correct: “Their first instinct was to react with fear...”.  I think rather, their first reaction was to act like they were in charge and that the person they were talking to was not their equal.

What cracks me up about her interference the most is that it’s just chalk! Even if it weren’t his property, it would’ve washed away with 20 seconds of a garden hose. I hope she thinks it's worth it.
