They didn’t know better because there were literally no games out for these consoles when Nintendo designed the controller. A year later, we had a pretty good idea of how games in 3D space would work, which allowed Sony to make the decision to add two analog sticks.

What you are missing is that you could use the d-pad on the left and the analog stick on the right with this controller. This basically allowed FPS games to work well on consoles for the first time.

FPS like Goldeneye allowed you to use the D-Pad and the analog stick. This controller basically enabled the invention of the modern gamepad controls for FPS.

Different people have different reasons.

I find it peculiar that you are so invested in giving an abusive company your money that you need to insult people who decide not to do that. You want to give AB your money? That’s fine, you can do with your money whatever you want. But you should be aware that giving an abusive company your money does not, in fact,

“The general sentiment I’ve seen posted by developers is that boycotting the games doesn’t hurt AB nearly as much as it hurts the developers”

The new Atari VCS is pretty awesome, though. The classic controller with the rotating stick is genius.

Right-wing politics has always basically been “The reason I’m not as successful as I’d like is because foreigners/communists/government agents/vegans/lesbians/women in general/black people/mexicans/gay people.” Implicit in this is that these people never think that they are to blame for anything, because a fundamental

Ikea does sell cheap crap (in addition to expensive, well-made furniture), but in defense of the cheap crap, I’ll say this: it’s light, so it’s easy to move, and for stuff that’s essentially made out of cardboard, it’s pretty damn durable.

There were so many times when I googled some kind of problem I had, and somebody on a random forum had the same problem, with somebody else having a solution.

Billy Hatcher was kind of a mediocre game, though? I bought it and played it, but I gave up after about two hours.

Yeah, it very much sounds to me like “we’re unhappy with what Ubisoft is doing nowadays, that’s why we’re doing something different.”

I mean, it’s information, but I’m not sure it’s valid criticism. There’s a huge difference between taking creative liberties, and actually doing something wrong (or even racist). For example, lots of Japanese anime have super weird representations of European countries in them. As somebody who lives in one of these

Discoverability tools create their own source of huge systemic issues. They tend to make it easer for racists to find each other, and to lead people down a path of extremism by recommending ever increasingly extremist channels. See also: YouTube.

Presumably, the idea here is that exolstice wouldn’t be the only one basing his purchasing decisions on this information. I, for one, do so, too. If enough of us do that, then it will make a difference.

“worse means it runs hotter if its a heatsink”

What exactly do you want me to prove? That mass correlates with heat absorption? That’s a bit like asking me to prove gravity. It’s self-evident. If you don’t believe in basic physics, I’m not sure what you want me to tell you.

The heatsink is lighter so it is worse.

Heh, I kind of feel the same. I understand that this is super cool, and really impressive. But personally, neither I nor any of my friends have ever been able to get into Smash Bros, because as a beginner, the game feels like you’re really not in control of what’s happening on-screen, and to become good at the game,
