The article’s definition of an asset flip is wrong. An asset flip is specifically a mostly fully built out game whose assets were changed to make it look like a different game. You’re flipping the assets of a game, thus making one single game look like multiple different games. That’s an asset flip.

Yeah. The NSMB games are solid platformers that I play through, and then immediately never think about again. I’m still thinking about SMB3 and SMW (and even Six Golden Coins) decades later.

I’m not sure it’s quite that simple. Orchestras sound great, but they make it much harder to adapt audio to the gameplay. I’m not convinced they’re overall an improvement.

Atom bomb? This is a rich dude who has enough money to be wealthy for the rest of his life even if he never works another day. If this is an atomb bomb, please bomb my current location, I need some of that.

The problem here isn’t “sharing an opinion”, the problem is that the opinion is “women should not be allowed to make decisions about their own health, and their own body.” This is, by itself, not just a problem, but an actual attack on women. It becomes a hundred times worse if you’re an actual woman, working for a

Given that these people are often also against abortions when the pregnancy is endangering the woman’s life, it’s obvious that they value the life of the fetus *higher* than the woman’s life.

“They wrote the entire game themselves (using tools to see how TT did it)“

Unfortunately, you’re wrong. T2 is legally in the right here. You can’t take software, decompile it, and then own that decompiled code. This project is definitely 100% infringing on T2’s copyright. These people did not do a cleanroom reverse-engineering GTA, where they actually wrote their own code from scratch.

Yeah. Measuring exhaust to get information about how well cooling works is a bad idea, because in a properly working system, exhaust temps will be independent of how well the cooling system works if the system is under load. The CPU and GPU will throttle if the system gets too hot, so the temp won’t rise in a poorly

What makes the Marvel universe great is the individual stories, and the personalities. If you try to include too many characters in your game, and make it some kind of ensemble game, you turn each of them into an Excel sheet of stats, which is the exact opposite of why people love them.

I’m sorry you’re so angry about this, but I would put to you the possibility that you’re vastly overreacting to a bunch of people painting some grey walls, and, in this particular case, painting a fun, colorful Mario block on an ugly grey piece of shit structure (which will continue to perform the exact same function

I’m just glad the RPG launcher was also in the shop, otherwise there would have been fireworks.

But who’s going to finish the piece now?

I kinda like it.

“but is being sleazy in a podcast 7+ years ago really worthy of cancelling this guy from all employment opportunities”

“imagine thinking you know the point of the game more than the creator of the game”

Yeah, the whole Bialik thing is a never-ending cycle of her saying something incredibly dumb and dangerous, then offering a half-assed retraction that can still be read as an endorsement of the original position if you stare at it just right. I don’t get why people keep apologizing for her. Just stop it, she’s bad.

I think there’s a difference between providing a service that everybody has the right to (e.g. acting as a defense lawyer for a shady client) and voluntarily providing services to an entity that does despicable things (e.g. building simulators for the army). I personally have no issues with the former, that’s part of

“Oh, you’re for socialism? Why don’t *you* voluntarily pay more taxes then?”
