These are fair arguments, but in principle Neeson should be willing to consider a paycut wherd he is part of an ensemble or co-starring with a female actor (his latest film and the Taken series admittedly don’t fall into those categories).

I was with you all the way, untill you handed the Russians the continent I live on.

All-female reboot!

Drumpf *wishes* he was a Russian agent. So does Steven fucking Segal, for that matter. I think you’re right - he’s being played for a patsy. Stroke his ego, make him some fucking money, do what you need to do to keep him in your pocket. He’s no closer to being truly in with Putin than you or me.

As a gay man, straight people, please stop asking me about musicals. I hate musicals, when I started sleeping with men I didn’t sign some kind of document where I was required to like awful music. Please stop.

This season of America is really trying way too hard to outdo the last one, and this Moby subplot is going nowhere and is just a pointless cameo. Really we need a hard reboot with an entirely new cast.

The conspiracy is real.

Those are poor examples.

Can we stop shit-talking everybody who doesn’t live up to progressive (and, probably, unachievable) ideals? Obama came in at a time when the country was at a point of near-financial collapse and, during a period of extreme divisions in American society and with constant opposition from a Republican congress, he did

He might be a mid-tier president, but that still makes him quite possibly the best president in a lot of people’s lifetime.

The amount does matter because the widening pay gap contributes to inflation and relative poverty levels.

I think women and men should be getting paid the exact same amount for the exact same job. Anything less than that is an absolute outrage and you can add my name and presence to the top of any list or the front of any march objecting to the gender pay gap.

As a working-class social-democrat, I’m just fed-up with wealthy elites appropriating and hijacking the political movement.

The ‘worker’.

‘Race to the bottom’?

Well that’s half the problem. Too many movies are written focusing around a bunch of men and a token woman or two.

If they really want to make a statement. The men should NOT offer a pay cut. They should demand that equal billing equals equal pay. That will level out the paydays faster than pay cuts. Because the studios will suddenly offer the leading men a whole lot less.

And whiney fanboys bitched about Empire, now regarded as one of the best films ever.

I also argue that if the first movie hadn’t set up the idea that the Star Wars universe is an endless cycle of Empires and Rebellions with slightly different people plugged in at different times then they could have explored new and better stories instead of having to go with “kill the past.”

Its odd how people keep saying “kill the past” is the theme of the movie - when its just the thesis of the BAD GUY and the scared old man who eventually realizes he was wrong to think so, and then makes the ultimate sacrifice reinforcing the legend. The theme is to learn from the past, not to kill or revere it. The
