It did what Deadpool did better than Deadpool.
Heck, it’s a better Superhero film than half the Spider-Man films.

It’ll get better and then worse... and then better again when they leave for college.
I don’t think the higher-ups at Marvel believe in the TV shows enough to do that, I think they think of them like direct-to-video Disney sequels, they want them to cash-in on the success of existing franchises but don’t want to taint the brand by drawing too much attention to them.
I’m not saying they’re right but it…
For me personally it was more of a crying wolf thing. I gave up after about 3/4 episodes but saw a bunch of people saying it had“got good” towards the middle of the season, so I slogged through even more and couldn’t see any improvement.
Then they promise it “really got good” at the end of season 1, so I skipped ahead…
I think the new timeline basically necessary to avoid rebooting completely. I believe they only have the rights to 60s series timeline, so unless they were making spin-offs and interquels to the original movies they had to reset things somehow.
I personally like it, it’s no less canon then when any TV show does an…

Is that still the case with streaming and broadcast rights? Maybe you need that to turn a profit in the short term but I have a sneaking suspension these big blockbusters almost never loose money in the long term, especially when you factor in profits on merchandise.
I agree although I keep occasional tabs on them in the hopes they’ll do better but I haven’t ever watched them.
I skimmed two of the BAFTA broadcasts the day after and concluded they weren’t worth three hours of my time.
I think the ads you see are more to do with your user profile than the video you’re currently watching.
It could be that you have a lot of right-wing coworkers and the traffic is coming through the same IP Address so you all appear to be one weird person to the algorithm.
See if you get the same ads at home or on your…
I think you’ll find that slippery slopes don’t exists and they’re just a fallacy created to make people fear that perfectly reasonable rules have to be stopped otherwise they’ll suddenly become BIG SCARY EVIL RULES.
When in fact that never happens.
Remember people saying “If we let two men get married what then? It’s a…
I was the same.
I didn’t get into Pixar stuff until I was older either, I thought they were too sappy and not particularly fun when I was a child.
I don’t really remember what animated films I liked but it usually wasn’t what bored adults thought would occupy me.
My mum decided to see the film with me (having not sat through any other film in the franchise) and didn’t notice he was CGI.
She did admit to tuning out until the final battle when she finally understood what was going on.
She could tell “Princess Lela” was CGI though and asked why that was.
It was damn good, it helps that he looks kind of alien anyway (no offence intended).
I thought his introductory scene was the worst and it had me worried but all the others were really good.
There were a few shots where he wasn’t talking and I am convinced they just rotoscoped him out from unused reaction shots from ANH…
I thought about that too and apparently Rian did consider re-editing it to something like that after Carrie’s passing but he thought it wasn’t worth it to loose her moment with Luke at the end and he was glad Lucas Film agreed to keep the film as it was and deal with it in the next one.
I am inclined to agree with him,…
I wonder if they feared they weren’t going to get more seasons when writing season 2. It really felt like it was rushing to wrap everything up, the cliffhanger which left the door open for future stories but also felt pretty final.
I was disappointed after season 1 dedicated so much time to the creation of the show and…
This is spot on Jobo.
There’s a world of difference between a sexiest/homophobic/racist/transphobic joke and shock humor.
The former is built around stereotypes, attacking an oppressed group and attempts to mock them and often downplays the real-world effect of abuse and violence.
Shock humor gets an uncomfortable laugh…
What about Sprite or 7Up?
What if you give the money you would have spent as an extra tip to the serving staff?
Sure you’re screwing over the franchise but you’re not doing it to benefit yourself.
“ Instead, I choose to believe they said, “Gimme an accent from a region of India that does not exist, but still sounds kinda Indian,” which is a valid creative choice”
“I’d guess that men and women have, generally speaking, different creative energies and the male energy (more direct, more concrete - again, generally speaking)”
I wouldn’t be surprised if they leaked to them that were duped in time to coincide with their marketing campaign. It’s likely they’d forgotten all about the interviews.
