David...

David bought an XJ? I’m not even going to pretend to have my shocked face on. Now the fact that your feet can’t feel the breeze passing underneath as you drive it is maybe a little shocking.

Amazing! That’s some serious sleuthing, right there.

A BaT listing costs $99 and 5% of the selling price, up to $5K.

My mother dumped $40k into an esoteric project car once. Once.

If you really loved a 1st gen RX7 you’d have one in your yard. They rust very well indeed.

There are also people who simply like building stuff. They finished one project and want to move onto the next... and need the funds to do so.

By this price I’d say they’re not trying to get their money back, they’re trying to get paid for their time and make a profit too.

When I was shopping 2 years ago I came across a very similar car for $20kCAD/$15USD. This thing is CP.

“ I tried to sell it honey, but I got no offers... come on, I am sure the baby seat will fit in the back....”

You were saying?

Better paint that circle with tritium, or you've doomed yourself to nothing but nighttime repairs.

I’m waiting for when there is a major accident with one of these huge ships. We saw Costa Concordia a number of years back which was bad enough, but at least the ship was close to shore in calm weather and didn’t fully sink. That ship was around 95,000 tons. A lot of the newer ships are 220-250,000 tons and carry

Well, of the total 18.9M cruise passengers in 2016, 11.52M were American. Statistically, there’s a good chance that the majority of passengers on any cruise will be American.

I love first-gen RX-7s, but from a servicing standpoint, a front-hinged setup isn’t optimal.

But it’s in the way...

Imagine my surprise to find this was NOT written by Jason.

I have had them go bad but the car was 25 years old and the strut cost $25 so I just replaced it. I think David doesn’t like it because a strut would have too much force for the rust holding it in on his cars and then break.

I hate how there are 27 holes in the sheet metal under my hood, and every time, I have to figure out exactly which one of them is designated for the prop bar. I should probably paint a circle around it or something.

That’s because it’s not an American 510, but an European 1400 with an L14.
