They did raise it

You’re so far under the joke...

did you go about half a mile to the East where it’s little brother is hiding with its 11'4" height? It’s harder to get to so we don’t see trucks getting stuck there.

When they raised the bridge they showed the old bash bar, and the old bar was very bent.

This is my local can opener. Used to drive it every day on the way to work and sometimes there’d be a big backup after someone managed to remove the top half of their truck.

Someone hit an overpass here a couple years ago and cracked the first I-beam (it was crossing the interstate so whatever hit it did it at a good clip).  That overpass was down to one lane for 6 months while they replaced the beam.

Can we please just chill it with the pun threads?

Not a big fan on these A/C puns

I love that he slowed to a crawl, like that would somehow give him the extra clearance.

AC what you did there!

I was exploring around Durham over the summer and randomly came upon this bridge.

The compilation is of a 10'6"(!!!) bridge and it takes out a goddamn firetruck. Didn’t seem like they were on the way to put out a blaze but Jesus, you’d think they’d know about local road hazards.

Not cool.....anymore.

Obligatory link to “Why don’t they raise the bridge/lower the roadbed/fix it”

Remember when Merc was advertising the hell out of their sub-$30k (by like $5, and before destination charge...) compact? Yeah, they all do that once in a while when they think they need to reach downmarket to pull in people. And then they all abandon it when they realize that it’s not creating a short term benefit,

I remember when the Bolt and Model 3 were introduced, I questioned: who would actually take a Bolt over a Model 3. Hands down, the Tesla was the one to own.

FF 4 years later, and though Tesla wanted the crown of the first affordable mass produced EV, the crown clearly goes to the Bolt.

For all you folks who say “what

Tesla never had its heart in the $35k Model 3 the same way BMW never had its heart in the $40k 3 Series, and Cadillac doesn’t really give a shit about selling any $33k CT4's...It’s the same game they’ve all been playing for decades.

Autopilot is not their ridiculous “FSD” and isn’t really any different from any other company’s driver-assist tech. So, no, it doesn’t make the cars uninsurable. And go sit in a car with cloth seats and one with well-made pleather seats and honestly tell me the cloth is better.

Your skateboard probably doesn’t really have 3.2hp. They’re probably talking about some sort of peak startup kw, not actual output. Or it goes 70mph? I suppose some do.
