That’s true, and there’ve been other popular vehicles I haven’t liked. I’m not even against crossovers; I daily drive one. I just don’t like this one.

I actually think it’s poorly styled, too. It looks like a rough draft of an actual production vehicle, or a Kia Soul stretched to uncomfortable proportions. Kia is usually on it when it comes to design, but this isn’t cute. It’s hideous.

I wouldn’t think the manufacturer would be on the hook for this at all. The owners should file a comprehensive claim on their insurance.

For cars in particular, cheapskates are likely to divorce themselves from the brand and its profit centers as soon as is practical, by (a) declining to use…

And that’s true. 

I would absolutely buy this over a 5 Series or E-Class.
