My dad used to work at a C-5 base. Being in one is even more unbelievable. They are seriously tremendous. They used to fly over my house all the time, so I am used to it I guess, but they still look pretty crazy at takeoff/landing.

Humans can do it to...
Kind of... I mean, they normally picture each other as food unrelated to their composition. Those fantasies are very clearly based on full culinary preparation of a magikarp.
I know it is a chicken and egg problem, but I think I would be interested in a hydrogen powered car, if the infrastructure existed. Potentially the same benefits as an electric car, but able to refuel rapidly (without any bizarre battery swapping stations). Unfortunately, I think the only way for hydrogen fueling…
I usually just scrape out my cast iron, and I have never had any particular lingering flavors. I have fried fish in it, and my fiance (who hates fish) had no commentary when we made vegetables the next day. As long as you actually get everything off, it should be fine. If you are cooking in oil on a well seasoned pan,…
It seems to have my Chrome downloads.
I sold my iPad 2 a while back, and went a long time without a tablet. I recently picked up a Memo Pad 7, and I use it to read the news and scientific literature. To be honest, if my Kindle handled the science papers (PDFs) better, I don't think I would bother with a general purpose tablet. I still see the Memo Pad as…
Living right next to the Mexican border is terrible sometimes. So many tiny trucks, so close by! But I don't even want to think about what it would take to bring one to the US...
Yeah, I was just being a jerk. There are plenty of ways to print smooth plastic, but you will almost never see them, because they are all a little more industrial than the DIY stuff you see on the internet. Turns out, like most things, more money will get you more quality ;)
Or smooth plastic if you have a nice enough printer! Many SLA printers can accomplish fairly smooth surfaces these days, although pretty much all consumers are on FDM (plastic extrusion) printers.
You can consider posting your bike on bikeindex.org. It is a free service that makes it easy to track information about your bike. You can post the serial number, make/model/year, and other defining characteristics, along with a picture.
I spent an unreasonable amount of time rereading that and trying to decide if it was sarcasm or not.
You can extend the utility of an interchangeable head driver so much without adding much bulk to your tool kit. Suddenly find a need for a torx driver? There are heads for that. Want some small sockets? No need to go get a socket wrench. Break the tip off your philips head? Not so hard to replace.
It is not really just common sense, in the logical way though. Narrower lanes have been shown to make people nervous and unsure. This feeling leads to less speed and more concentration. Maybe the only reason most people keep texting is the lack of repercussions after drifting 2 feet unaware.
That might be a little harsh. While I was in NY I was debating getting a motorcycle, but after having moved to Southern California, I find it likely that I would be injured through no fault of my own. Not only do people drive cars like half-blind idiots around here, but I have personally seen a couple of car-fault…
When I was a kid, my family treated 160k miles as "old". Of course, the only real consequence of this is that everyone acknowledged my car was old when they gave me a hand-me-down civic with 175k miles on it... Didn't stop me from driving.
Yeah, I know exactly the spot this must have happened. In my imagined reconstruction, I come out looking something like that truck...
I think we will see a return to battleships if the rail gun pans out. Maybe not many, and maybe a bit smaller, but the Navy is going to want to have something loaded with a pile of big rail guns.
That's fine, just replace my sedan picture with that. I think my point still stands...
I think the differences are irrelevant. As much as a Civic wagon piques my interest, every current Civic model has a better back end than the Tourer.
