If they could manage to jam a good sensor in there (like the iPhone 4, or even that rumors 8mp Sony sensor) it might be an awesome product. Sure it won't have all the advanced features an app capable camera has, but that form factor would be a pretty impressive camera.

Doesn't quite work that way. Viruses have no cells. I am not sure how virophages work, but my very brief understanding is that they also use our cells, but somewhere in the process they attack the viral material. This may or may not be an improvement, I am not knowledgeable enough to say.

I can definitely understand the desire for a Windows tablet. I have not bought into the tablet revolution (yet?) because I can't be particularly productive with one. A Windows tablet could (theoretically) run all sorts of software people need, while coming in that neat tablet form factor.

I love that game :( I wonder what could make them pull the rights to all iOS games (and what kind of contract clause would let them do so). It seems wrong to me that a company can release a successful product as part of a franchise and have their rights revoked without doing something wrong.

I was just debating this. I really like the Times, so it would be silly to not pay the dollar to keep it for now, but I don't think I will be paying to keep it up after that. It is just to much.

I have pared back a lot recently. Down to just a laptop and a netbook. Unless I come up with some pressing need for more power, I imagine I will not be expanding that at all in the near future. The netbook has mostly taken a backseat as a backup computer now too, I am kind of amazed at myself for getting everything

Actually, there is surprisingly little CO2 in the air you breathe out. When you are blowing on a fire, you are not adding O2 from your lungs, you are simply increasing airflow around the fire (giving it better access to the atmospheric O2).

That is almost totally unrelated, but also a really good point. I was wondering about that terribly awkward looking rear placement.

I absolutely believe you. I got my iPhone long before the Atrix was a consideration. Another thing to consider: a slightly different shape can minimize or enhance those size differences.

I have an iPhone 4. It is at my limit for mobile phone size. I considered getting an HTC Aria instead, mostly for size reasons. I even considered going back to a dumb phone, for the sake of size and battery. In the end, I decided I can live with iPhone size, but I don't think I would want to go any larger.

My mention of hills was meant to say there is a reason the Amsterdam style bike is mostly only popular in Amsterdam. You started your post by saying the Dutch know their bikes better than people who buy expensive road bikes or 21 speed mountain bikes, but in many American cities you will get around town much better on

Plus no rack mounts and probably no bottle mounts (or at least no easy to use bottle mounts). I never get these funny shaped bike designs, the double triangle is so efficient.

That is kind of silly, since a 21 speed mountain bike is probably one of the best utility bikes around. Usually enough mount points for racks and bottles, adjustable to a good upright position, and enough gears to keep you moving on all the hills you find in a lot of areas. Not to mention they are normally pretty

Yeah... I was wondering a similar thing. Assuming you can get past weight problems, you have only added the ability to ship shipping containers. Now you can bring twice (three times? fours times?) the number of containers with you to Taiwan, but you have not added any space on your boat to bring back more goods. You

While it seems more efficient for a complex organism to have a digestive system with separate inputs and outputs, even life on earth sometimes does not have that luxury. It is entirely possible to have a single opening in the digestive system that serves the dual purposes of ingestion and waste removal.

I had push activated on my iPhone for a while, but then I started to feel like it was making me less productive. I would always be checking my email, and most messages I get are not urgent. Usually, I know if I am expecting an urgent email, and I can check more often accordingly. Anything else can wait a little bit to

Kind of lame, since the same $15 a month will get you the Sunday Times delivered every week + all the digital benefits.

I support this idea. Dinosaurs are way cooler than zombies.

Haha, I have had similar thoughts, but I never went as far as the Revolutionary War with the Nimitz. That is an unbelievably one sided sounding fight (assuming you get to take all of your aircraft). I'm not even sure period naval weapons could make it through the hull of a modern aircraft carrier.

Er... It's perfectly justified. The first iPad had those 3G models as well, and they required no contract. Of course, if you are devoted to buy two years of continuous data service anyway, the Xoom appears to be priced better, but most people don't like the sound of that
