@mruler360: That is what I am hoping. What I am saying is that Apple can prove that to me by taking the time to fix the bugs in the update for the 3G. If they never address this problem, it starts to seem to me that they stop caring about the customer as they near the 2 year mark.

@Steve Sweeny: I think a phone should last at the absolute least 2 years. I had my phone for almost 2 full years when the update made it harder to use. Is the answer that I should just deal with it for the last couple of months until my contract is up?

I sure hope so. I am due for an upgrade, but not sure what phone I am going to get. If Apple wants to court me they need to show that a new iPhone 4 won't be broken by their hand in a couple of years.

I am a "whatever is on hand" type of guy. I have a cheap Staples date book and a Molskine (blank pages, pretty standard).

@MikeSWelch: The stock SSDs were a little on the slow side, but I never had problems with it running Ubuntu. With an upgraded SSD, I never had any problems with OS X either.

@Almightywhacko: I know, I hear that all the time. I feel like people making that point miss a very important fact: All of the first generation of netbooks used some form of SSD.

I would love to see some netbook makers move back to flash memory. My favorite part of my Mini 9 is the fact that is has no moving parts (SSD and only passive cooling).

I am currently using 1&1 for my registration and hosting. I have not used any of the other registrars listed, and I am guessing most users have not used multiple registrars.

I find this really interesting, though his land use suggestions seem dubious to me.

@Lamb_Chop: If you are really hiding, they are already waiting for you to call home. Radio signals aren't too hard to track if you are standing by and looking with the right equipment.

@linten1: I find this interesting and have never see such a thing. Do you have any examples?

I feel like these get posted all the time, and yet I never get tired of them. Some day I might get up the motivation to try it myself.

@jmanfletch: I just checked this out. I'd recommend a look, great looking icon set. Thanks.

I think one of the great benefits of a portal story is the ability to create a protagonist that is immediately recognizable and familiar to the reader, and still explore a world that is completely alien.

@Bumblebee: I think if they do that, they won't take the idea any further. There is no such thing as a hack-proof system.

@sighing: Because they don't want to commit to that level of service.

I don't know, most of lab work is pretty boring. You do get those occasional moments of success or just plain coolness to break it up though.

@DJGyarados: It is entirely possible that it is an artificial womb of some sort. When you say no such device has ever existed, what you are really saying is that no such device has ever brought a human being to a full term pregnancy.

They justify it by saying it happens in college campuses? I can remember several very stern talks about how plagiarism will get you expelled. Universities police that sort of thing with the utmost care; their reputations depend on it.

I was thinking about this the other day. Assuming I have a more powerful computer for work, my most necessary personal computing uses can all be filled by my iPhone.
