I like a bunch of games I have on Steam, but one thing I am really crossing my fingers for is Audiosurf (bonus points if I don't need to buy it again...)

@Brazell: I used to use SyncToy when I was running Windows. It was so simple and lightweight, and like you I was happy to have a native MS written option.

If I feel bad when I wake up, there is one thing I know will always make me feel worse: the short bought of sleep I pretend to gain from hitting snooze.

I do like that one. I kind of wish I could set my computer to use the smaller increment by default.

So, I just checked and Gears is not supported in Chrome for Mac... You would think they would bother to implement it in their own browser.

Definitely hard to do. I shifted my hands one space over and I found that I would get half the key presses shifted, but my hands found the proper keys for the others...

My Dell Mini 9 upgraded without a hitch. Be sure to get the new NBI as per instructions here:

It would be nice to be able to plug my Wii into HDMI (even without improved graphics), but not for $75.

@bonestock94: That is easily the scariest one I have ever seen. Certainly news to me. Awesome way to keep the crown vic without being immediately visible though.

Just played around with it in Manhattan. It definitely makes good choices for a lot of my common routes. I certainly don't mind having an extra source for suggestions on good routes in the city.

I see a business card as an important reminder tool. Sure, a contact can find me a million ways on the internet, but he might never do so if he doesn't come home and find my card in his pocket.

Well, it will run fine on my desktop, but I haven't booted my desktop in at least 6 months... I hope it will run on a Macbook, otherwise I will need to keep the silly tower around.

@PacJack360: Mine too, but the Mini 9 is pretty much the only netbook like that and it is no longer in production.

It seems reasonable, but I am not really sure how I would use it. I suppose it would be nice for sharing photos with friends/family without being obtrusive, but there are so many web frameworks for that already, and the rest don't require that your friends/family use gmail.

I think the big difference for me is that I now do all of my work at a machine with the internet (and have to, most of my work requires ready network access).

I currently use a laptop as my primary computer, and I have for most of the past 6 years.

I have the standard Macbook 1280x800 most of the time, but when I have the luxury of sitting at my desk and working (graduate student) I plug into a 1680x1050 monitor.

I feel like I would avoid Facebook a lot more if I didn't need to go there to reply to people... This kind of makes it a specialized forwarding address, which works well for me.
