Idiots call vulvas vaginas, so no.

Are you telling me the developers actually rendered a female vagina, or do you mean the labium area of a woman’s crotch area? If you mean the actual vaginal cavity, then there’s no way that’s not intentional.

Feels like an obvious pick, but the MCU has a fair bit of Rick and Morty in it lately. Loki and She-Hulk both featured ex-R&M writers and played with similar ideas (alternate versions of the protagonist, meta gags, calling out the toxic fanbase); and more broadly, it’s a pulpy, genre-shifting series with a bunch of

Trying to imagine even one actual person who watches Rick and Morty who was so offended by Roiland’s actions that they’re gonna refuse to watch the show going forward, and who then read this list and said, “Hmmm. South Park. Never heard of it. Let’s give that a try.”

Honestly, there’s more intelligence, humor, dramatic depth, fun and joy to be found in both Futurama and Regular Show than there ever was in Rick and Morty. You can watch those two and leave Rick and Morty in the dust without ever looking back.

Futurama’s the GOAT, just sayin

so like while i do think some elements of ninja gaiden appear here - the lack of a stamina bar, a double-jump, the faster-paced combat - i just generally think wo long: fallen dynasty takes more inspo from nioh than ninja gaiden. that doesn’t mean it isn’t a bit like ninja gaiden - if you like those games, i do

I notice a general lack of Ninja Gaiden being mentioned both as part of Team Ninja’s portfolio of games and the ones Wu Long is inspired by. Does that mean the new ninja-like will carry none of my favourite series’ mechanics? Damn

Criticism 1: The filmmakers are pretending this is new. It isn’t.

Your defense should still reflect what Goldstein actually said.  And what he said is that this movie will be bringing to life creatures, places, and people that players only imagined before.  Owl bears and black dragons satisfy at least one of those conditions.

Sort of me, maybe a few years after but it’s all the same. There’s something about movies made prior to lets say... 2008, that felt special. Now everything is waaaaay to formulaic.

The first part is exceedingly easy to grasp. The filmmaker is making the statement that this upcoming film is the first time we’re able to see D&D monsters and whatnot on screen. And that’s really not true. Because of multiple D&D feature films that exist *already*. (To say nothing of the animated series.) And given

Read what Goldstein said again:

Well, sure, but the difference is that that movie looked like and was acted like some c-list made for TV turd. While this one doesn’t.

If you want original movies, watch Netflix or Hulu. They’re releasing 100 of them a month. If you demand indie films fight for screen space with 200 million dollar blockbusters just to validate their position as true cinema, that’s a lost cause.

Because of multiple D&D feature films that exist *already*. (To say nothing of the animated series.)

I’m struggling to get where you’re coming from on a lot of this.

It might be possible that what makes a movie great and what makes a tabletop roleplaying game great won’t exactly be one and the same. With any adaption liberties need to be taken to account for the strengths and weaknesses of the media being adapted to, and that’s most certainly the case when you’re doing a live

100% this.  My take from the trailer is it seems like the kind of story and tone that actually gets used in people’s actual games.  I think it looks fun, and really don’t understand the criticisms posed in the article.

Eh, D&D by way of GotG works for me and is what will set it apart, if not from Marvel, then from other fantasy movies and shows. Get wild with this. At least as wild as the most fun campaigns. I don’t want the film version of boring by-the-books DMs. I want a movie that looks like the D&D campaigns that I've played.
