Same here at 16 years old. Mine even had the back window louvers like in the video, but it was light blue. I blew the head gasket 3 times before my mom sold it and I got a ‘91 Mitsubishi Eclipse for me next car. It was front wheel drive and a total piece of crap compared to the SR5.

The trick for me is that every time I see a video or follow a build of one I get the urge to buy one as my mind swarms with fanciful thoughts of track driving or autocross but then I realize I’ll likely barely ever go to the track and the last time I rode in my buddies AE86 it was an absolute piece of shit for daily

I never owned a car under 100k miles including VWs. A gti can’t be that bad

For an enthusiast that also wants practicality, the GTI is very hard to beat.

Do all the big maintenance early!!

Well if you haven’t already - get on Yelp, find the absolute best independent VW shop you can, and get ready to rely on them heavily as soon as your warranty is up.

Got our ‘15 GTI in August. My piece of advice, save some time and just get a different color. Nothing better than it.

@kyngfish . . . a suggestion: I got my wife a 2014 Mazda3 S 2.5 Grand Touring, which she preferred over several luxury compact cars we looked at (and which I was also happy with). Fun to drive, great infotainment, great seats, solid reliability, cheap to maintain.

Could be another example of Megyn Kelly caring about issues that directly affect Megyn Kelly....

You guys are idiots. Don't open your mouth unless you have evidence. I've been a student at UK for 7 years. 4 in undergrad, 1 as a strength coach, and now 2 years in professional school for my chosen profession in health care. You see these kids walking to class daily. I personally knew one of the strength coaches for

It’s good to keep a limit on that drug habit. If you’re not careful it can lead to more relationship stress.

In competitive shooting (IDPA) you’re forced to wear a “concealment garment”. I assume a Tux is the absolute perfect thing to wear for this.

"It's after six... what am I, a farmer?"

Yeah, we all know where this is going.

Yes, the angular one — I didn’t even realize the newer, swoopy design was just a facelift, it looked all new.

I’m still convinced the last E-Class (W212) was one of the best looking cars ever made. The C and S, as well, but the E seemed to split the difference between cramped and stretched, respectively.

Yeah, well Luc, those guys at Aston Martin probably would have similar words for your most recent just-as-derivative Bentley concept.

Albert, I usually love your stuff, but you’re living in a fantasy world on this one. The NCAA would come down on him just as hard as it has come down on everyone who challenges it. Do you really, really think that the NCAA would hesitate for even a second to ban him because of “public opinion”? When have they cared
