That’s fair enough. And I get it. Kids take a lot out of you. There are better cars and worse cars. Toyotas are something else - I wouldn’t hesitate to drive my LC across the continent tomorrow with my kid and family and feel perfectly safe and know it was nuts reliable. Mainly because every scrap of maintenance was

I can’t tell if you’re trying to make an innocent point or being patronizing, but it’s coming off as patronizing.

I mean is there some kind of metric that lays out the incremental safety from a w123 and a modern econobox? We aren’t talking about a 70s beetle here.

Lol. You call yourselves Jalops? I find the safety argument sort of marginal. We aren’t talking a corvette here. He wants one of the most solidly built sedans ever and they’re slow as all get-out. I’d probably get a w126 instead of the 123 but still. It’s fine. If you have some minor wrenching ability you can

Yeah, I’ve been trying really hard to like this series, since we lost the marvel stuff, but it’s just super boring and sort of formulaic.

Serious question. After 2016 and 2018 - do you really trust the polls?

Hey all - can we like, not do this new layout? Asking for a friend.

Just a quick reminder, that the Obama administration was pretty heavily constrained by the bed quota put into place by a republican senate, which started under GW Bush. The whole “OBAMA DID IT TOO” thing is a red herring.

Yep - I work for a company that uses a lot of contractors, and while I can’t speak to how we treat them, I will say that a lot of the contractors I work with say that the way we interact with them vs. some of the companies they work for is very different, and many companies treat them as extremely disposable.

I use the hell out of the Icon ratcheting stubby wrench set I got from them. Leagues above a similar gear wrench set that cost just as much, and as far as I can tell - pretty close to as good as the complete Snap-On ratchet set I have.

Strava is kind of a bummer overall. I get that it’s great for athletes who cross-train, but for cyclists, I much prefer ride with GPS. Finding new routes is much more intuitive.

Yep! you’re right. My reading comprehension sucks.

You need to remove all minors.

Not sure you read my original post homie. I own both a V8 and a full on Dyson Animal. I literally wrote “I’ll just buy them refurbished”. And yes, the Vs are good, but the animal is 10000x better. That’s why the Evoque comparison.

These things are the Range Rover Evoques of Vacuum cleaners. Not as good as the real thing, but somehow still costs the same as a luxury car.

Eight. Hundred. Dollars.

I really question your reading comprehension then. In no way defended that dumbass. What I said was that the media generalized headlines to drive clicks and this helps the narrative that the media are biased. Which in turn feeds the conspiracy dumbasses the ammo they need.

That’s true. This is the reality we live in. The issue is that this self-interest feeds the narrative and supports the narrative that the media is corrupt, and this cuts both ways. Part of the issue we have now is that people don’t believe the media represents their interest, and pandering to ratings supports this.

That’s not entirely correct. He asked the doctors to look into that as a potential treatment, which isn’t entirely the same. It’s the dumb sort of logical leap a child would make. And if anything has become clear in the last 4 years, it’s that absolutely nothing with respect to his stupidity, is going to be enough.

I don’t think you really read what I wrote. You’re just reacting.
