I’m an unabashed fan of this show. My favorites in order are Tan - Jonathan - Bobby - Antoni - Karamo. Not to say Karamo or Antoni are bad, I just think the show doesn’t really highlight what they bring to the table quite as well. They all get an A+.

That’s why you hide your cool car in the garage, and daily drive a 20 year old truck. It’s like wearing baggy pants to hide your big wiener. There’s a perverse satisfaction in being a social ‘sleeper’.

Tom what do you recommend for buyers in terms of what they could/should afford based on income? In most states - $150k-ish should get you around $10,000 per month, and looking at it, I wonder how anyone buys cars over 50 grand... ever.

Thank you for your service.

Depends on what you want. If it’s your daily driver, unless you have a low-stress, commute in moderate weather, or you work from home, I wouldn’t recommend it.

I don’t think we are jaded. I think most of us realize there’s no point. 600-700 hp in a car that could never ever use that kind of power in a safe way on the street. You could say that the GT350 is in the same boat, but the high-revving NA engine is special, and puts the power down in a totally different way. I’d own

Hot take - sales declines in the Boxster / Cayman are because it keeps getting more expensive and there are more and more cool things at the price-point or lower.

We can set up a direct pipeline from the constant draining I’m having to do on my pool over to your back yard if you want. I think there are some logistical intricacies we need to work out, but I don’t see any major problem.

When you do the payroll calculation - are you averaging the amount of pies you sell daily and dividing your total payroll by that number? The way you described it, it seemed to suggest that you only counted payroll cost during the time they were making the pizza. What about when employees are doing other things?

I dunno - going back and playing a few other games, including Skyrim, I can see how Breath of the Wild is going to change how games and gameplay is designed.

Eh. Let’s look at this from another perspective:

Awesome - I love being right. I remember when I had my SLK32 AMG - either the reviewers or Mercedes said that the little boot-lip spoiler added 50 lbs of ‘weight’ to the boot. I can see though, how a wing, aside from being more effective, can also be more precise. The spoiler has a whole-car impact, where a wing

I don’t think so, I think it’s a matter of where the force is applied. You can have a wing that doesn’t offset the force of the lift you get on the car, so you’re at a lighter weight than static weight, but still providing downforce.

I still do not see this happening for Texas. They’ve been hinting at this for a while, but the polling for 2016 and 2018 were both REALLY bad, and with all the attention on the primaries, my guess is the samples are skewing left and Trump voters are declining to poll, just like the past two elections.

Not being an engineer, I probably can’t appreciate the intricacies in function that make the difference between the two, but to me it continues to be more aggressive applications of the same function. I GET the distinction between a wing and a spoiler, but a lot of the discussions center on the differences between

I love this debate because of how pedantic it gets. My take is that a spoiler and a wing have the same purpose, and distinctions are pretty much specifically for this type of pedantry. With a wing, the space created under it makes it a separate sort of object for creating downforce onto the car. The spoiler does the

Kawhi caught hell for this as and he stayed the course. Good for him. I think Pop was also being pretty snide about it, but Kawhi’s decision is looking smarter and smarter every day.

I feel like a lot of us are of that opinion. My daily is a 3rd get 4Runner and every once in a while I feel like I might get a new one, then I remind myself that the 4Runner is modern enough, balls easy to work on, cheap for parts, and can probably run until the asteroid kills us all.

I have a Carrera from that time period so it’s not really killing me to buy another 80s car. But who knows?

I’ll have to check it out but to be honest- I don’t love the proportions of the E34.
