I love this debate because of how pedantic it gets. My take is that a spoiler and a wing have the same purpose, and distinctions are pretty much specifically for this type of pedantry. With a wing, the space created under it makes it a separate sort of object for creating downforce onto the car. The spoiler does the

Kawhi caught hell for this as and he stayed the course. Good for him. I think Pop was also being pretty snide about it, but Kawhi’s decision is looking smarter and smarter every day.

I feel like a lot of us are of that opinion. My daily is a 3rd get 4Runner and every once in a while I feel like I might get a new one, then I remind myself that the 4Runner is modern enough, balls easy to work on, cheap for parts, and can probably run until the asteroid kills us all.

I have a Carrera from that time period so it’s not really killing me to buy another 80s car. But who knows?

I’ll have to check it out but to be honest- I don’t love the proportions of the E34.

Well I already have my forever car so this one would be just gravy, but it’s one of those special cars that’s still sort of affordable. For what it’s worth though one of my friends had one and he did spend a lot of time repairing. He also put a ton of miles on it.

190E 2.3_16 is a car I constantly come back to as a possibility for something I’d like to buy. That one I think is the EVO, but even the normal one is such a cool car. Every once in a while the pop up for around 20 and I think about getting it.

I feel like I had to scroll to far to get to this comment. Came to say this. Thing looks like a pig.

Tweeting at all is usually a mistake. That said, even though the pride thing was off, I can’t really be all that mad at the rest. I think it’s fine for young people to see one of those “All American” types that society seems to want to tell you is super-cool being an advocate for the climate and calling our President

Lucky you dude! I get home and run around with a pint-sized sociopath until he falls over from exhaustion at around 8:30 and then if I’m lucky I eat dinner and I get an hour or so to take care of what I want to do, or watch TV before I fall asleep.

Dunno how they are equipped now but when I bought the 2015 the sport didn’t have the backup camera - which with children in the neighborhood running around and my own kid, was a big deal for me 🤷🏻‍♂️. My wife doesn’t drive stick and we needed four doors. We paid 26.5 for that so I saw it as the best possible

Essentially it depends on what the transaction prices are. I bet the autobahn goes lower than the Golf R. But at 37k - it’s no longer that much of a bargain and enters another realm of competitors.

I wonder what Mercedes’ logic is on selling the de-tuned version in the USA. I think the GTI sells reasonably well here, and putting the power specs in the ballpark would make it a pretty solid option that I’d consider when replacing my wife’s MKVII.

Any GTI with the type of features this Merc has is going to be priced over 30k. When I bought my wife’s MKVII in 2015, we got the SE - which is basically the goldilocks version that gets you most of the Autobahn features like rear camera and premium sound and etc without the price, we paid $26.5 and it was priced at

Yeah. Honestly in the design department, and despite being a little more overwrought than I generally like - I think they look leagues better than the Mercedes C and the 3 series.

I’d be more concerned with 7 years after the launch - Tesla is doing “refreshes” to an old as hell design.

Maybe. All I can tell you is how I would feel about it. I feel like if there’s ultimately a big ‘L’ at the end, there’s no moral victory.

Maybe. But my feeling is that Mueller is enough of a stick that had that been the case, he would have gone for it.

The problem isn’t whether Pelosi can impeach him - the problem is whether or not an impeachment has the force to sway the Senate to actually remove him.

I won’t touch this game with a ten foot pole because first person shooters require time in order to be decent and a LOT of time to be good, and as a 37 year old with a full time job, a house, and a toddler, I don’t have any time.
