900 cars!? I’m overwhelmed. That’s at least 20 thousand in profit.

Since when is BMW a “meh” brand?

Give me a break. I wasn’t on a soapbox about collaboration.

Hot take - almost no one, is going to buy this thing. Half-measures seem to be Toyota’s MO lately. I’m dreading the new version of my beloved 4Runner.

I’m fine with all of those criticisms, except the “glorified escort” thing. Work is work, and the whole “hooker” insult is tired.

This poses an interesting question, because I would DEFINITELY own this car, but I promise you I can put half a million miles on my 3.2 Carrera, but my feeling with modern Porsches, and honestly most modern cars, is they become a real pain in the ass to keep running at a certain point. And I’m not certain a GT3

Yeah. I totally got you. And you’re wrong. For the reasons I’ve listed above.

To your point about the Westboro people...they claim to be religious while being anything but. They’re nothing but shills trying to incite violence against themselves so they can sue people and make a buck.

30 years is a pretty convenient number, you get to exclude the KKK, which was definitely rooted in protestant christian idealism. But either way, the number of terrorist acts in the US coming from white protestants, far outweighs islamic terrorism here in the US.

When you show me any kind of data with a statistical analysis about Islamic terrorism vs Christianity - I might listen. But then I’d point out that we need to control for things like poverty and power dynamics. Also. The Bible also says some really terrible things. But people don’t use that as an indicator of what the

You clearly didn’t read my very short statement.

Lol. Funny you should ask. But I don’t think you want me to launch into a 90 minute dissertation about the Crusades, the Ottoman Turks, WW1, Lawrence of Arabia, WW2, our relationship with Israel, oil and overall religious fundamentalism, culminating in our incestuous fetish with Saudi Arabia, and how the UK, US and

The “this is not who we are” statement is what really stands out to me. This is exactly who we are. We don’t all think like these people. But this is definitely who we are. And I’m not singling New Zealand out on this. The US is definitely in the same boat. Until we accept it, we won’t fix it.

Yep - OP said “Twincharged” so I was confused. That said, I think twin scroll is a legit technology - and not just marketing speech.

Are BMWs twin-charged? I thought that was supercharger and turbocharger.

Lincoln doesn’t have to do much to make a huge difference in their sales. The simple fact that I’ve seen 2 of them in my neighborhood means they still exist as a car brand, which is pretty impressive.

Absolutely agree that they’re more convenient - but at least for me, until it replaces my phone - not 500 very two years convenient.

Yeah that’s my beef with modern watches too. I think the omega is like 34 mm. When I look at rolexes I have to go after the smallest one. I just don’t like the beefy watches.

Interesting way to cave. You’re right. Finding a church and checking out the tower or running to the nearest microwave is exactly like a watch. I’ll be sure to keep that in mind next time I’m in the middle of the Everglades.
