The hell are you talking about? Distribution across premiums is fairly even - only about 20% is below 80% of the average - which for individuals is 500 per month, give or take. So 80% of people paying health premiums are paying above 80% of the average. And the average is nowhere near 1200. Healthcare COSTS is a

Healthcare costs for families are around $800 per month - average wages are 50k-ish for families. That’s closing on 20% of gross earnings. What other name is there for that, other than a tax.

Understand the plan dummies, healthcare is already socialized, except the costs are higher because not everyone is included. And

Personally I think the Lincoln looks pretty meh, but still better than that Audi. The design for the rear end looks like something that came out of Lexus or Infiniti - not a German car.

The rear end isn’t great - but at this point so many cars look like overwrought transformers extras that it is meaningless to me. I feel like we’ll eventually dial it back, I’m just wondering when.

The Sailor Souten blue ink is by far my favorite, it has this purplish sheen and it’s blue without being too light or too navy. Recommend.

Have you driven one? Not being a smartass I’m genuinely curious.

Cayman GTS or Evora S / Evora 400

....and it probably still cost under 20 bucks to make, so what’s your point? Have you seen Lego lately? A BUNCH of its stuff is licensed. And even the shit that isn’t licensed is priced like it is.

I agree - I don’t think it’s like some kind of huge money grab or anything. Or maybe it is, but I don’t care. I’m just wondering, what kind of families can afford these things. Legos are one of those toys that build the mind as well as provide entertainment. I just thought it was funny.

I took my kid to the lego store this weekend - the Porsche GT3 RS was 300 dollars. I feel like Legos used to be more affordable?

Nice work.

Lol - oooook, now I’m going to call bullshit. 3% on a used car is pretty fantastic. Carmax could at one point (bear in mind I know someone who works in finance at the local Carmax) do 2% with in-house financing - although I doubt it with current interest rates rising. Two to three years ago, Penfed would do similar

Glad to know I’m not as irresponsible as I sometimes think. My car payment is 500, and it’s also my personal limit, but I’m in the upper range of earners in this country. Which means there are a ton of poor fools that make less and spend more. Jesus.

Lol - didn’t listen - just picked the first video link that popped up - that said, none of the pop country music singing of that era was particularly good. The contents of that song however...

It’s a little more complex than that. The reason we have so few companies vying for our business is because although there is some sharing in the industry - by regulation, each provider needs to make their own infrastructure to the door of the places they want to service. It would be more efficient if the municipality

I have less than 3% on all of my used cars and under 2% on my new one. If you can shrug off 5k at 3% for 36 to 60 months good on ya. The one time I went through a CarMax experience it wasn’t all that much shorter than a regular dealer experience. They still try to sell you all the little upgrades and BS that’s so

Again - I think that measuring vs. car dealers is a really low bar.

The dealer’s trade quote is a pretty low bar to beat. Especially if it’s pre-negotiation. That’s one of the first places they set a low expectation so they have room to negotiate later.

...in most (but not all) cases is for...

Buying at Carmax in most (but not all) cases is for uninformed buyers that don’t want the hassle. There’s value in that. But they lowball the piss out of trade-ins and pull the same car salesmany shenanigans to try to explain to you why your car isn’t worth much.
