I actually got the Ardbeg 15....? Over Christmas and liked the Lagavaulin better.

Haven’t tried the Dalmore 12, tried the Balvenie 15 and liked it, I’ve been looking for the Achentoshin 3 wood. Is the Dalmore 12 smooth? Most of the 12 years I’ve tried are a bit harsh.

I tried that Yamazaki, it was bland and terrible. I also had the Lagavulin 16, pretty good, but slightly mediciney. I know I’m bitching hard and that I’m hard to please, but someone please give me some suggestions in the 100 dollar range that sits somewhere between the blandness of the Highland stuff and the

What comes across as silly is your insistence that you’re so good with a good manual that it’s indistinguishable from an automatic. And if you’re going to go on about people who write about cars for a living, a bunch of them love manual transmissions as well. Particularly in cars like the new GT3, which is a track

So your entire argument is “what if the 4C gets a bad manual, or the engineers can’t figure out how to get it to play nice.” Oh no!

You took a segment of my thought and left out a ton of context. When you’re on the track at 10/10ths a manual transmission can be a distraction because there’s literally nothing else going on. Engaging the transmission involves skill and practice and it enhances the experience.

Lol. Nothing NEEDS a manual, no car NEEDS an auto transmission. But the bit about having a transmission you don’t pay attention to doesn’t do much for your takes. That’s literally the point of engaged driving. Paying attention. Manual steering, stiff chassis, tuned suspension, good tires, all of that gives you

Yes. I like it, I’d like to find something at the same quality level not quite so mediciney though.

Eh. When you pay into a house and even into a car, and you’re buying it, you are actually getting some equity. If you sell the house, you receive the value of that equity less commissions and closing costs. You can also use that equity for lines of credit. When you sell a car that the bank owns, if you’re not upside

Yeah. Don’t agree. These are niche cars. Ferraris are too but not in the same way. If they were going to make it one transmission ONLY they should have picked manual. Like the new GT3. They made a niche, manual steering, drivers car and left the most important component out for being involved in the driving. This car

If you’re not smart enough to see how responding to the journalist as though he were speaking to you directly and then using it as a soapbox to make insinuations is pretentious, funny, sad, and lame, then I’m ok with you thinking I took a shot and failed.

One of the most pretentious, humblebrag posts I’ve seen in a long time. If you don’t want to share that’s your prerogative, but this need to still respond like they were somehow speaking to you directly and no one else is hilarious.

Why does this guy matter? Can someone give me an itemized list? Most of what I’ve heard about or from him sounds like trite bullshit. Just saying.

To these people I can only say: GTI. In its class the fit and finish is excellent. The drive is excellent. The car is excellent. No idea how it goes after 100k mi, but I’ve had one new since 2015 and it’s just a great car in its class. The SE is 95% of the Autobahn, 5k less. I got mine for 26.4.

People don’t wake up early on weekends in Houston. The traffic comes like a flash flood.

How is a Ferrari any better.

That brings back memories. I had a RWD coupe with no power as my first car in southwestern PA. Abandoned mall parking lots in the wintertime were like crack cocaine to me.

Car is backdated to look pre 1974. The 911 SC looked like something else entirely from 1979-1984. No SC existed when 911s looked like this. I think the models were 911 911s 911T.

Actually if a strong central government supported or subsidized a good internet infrastructure - there would be more competition and carriers could compete based on services. Like....you know, the interstate highway system the government maintains which transformed commerce in this country.

No. That’s a giant buttplug
