I bought Crusader Kings (and Europa Universals) 2 years ago and have barely played them because I struggle to figure out how to actually play them >_<. I wish their tutorials were more like Civilization (though, that’s easy for me to say since I’ve played Civilization since the beginning).
Suggestions on learning to play? I picked up Crusader Kings and Europa Universals two years ago and barely spent any time with them because - imo - the tutorials are just really bad. I’ve got probably 1000hrs sunk into Civilization 5, so I think I’d like the games if I could figure out how to actually play them.
I play very regularly and have also spent money on the game as well, so I have most of the cards. For others, though, this really pushes them further back.
I appreciate their attention to detail, but yeah, all that reading gets tedious after a while and I just start skimming because I really just don’t care.

As a Linux gamer, there are incredibly few games I cannot play in Linux; either natively or via WINE. My HTPC (which I use for controller-friendly games) does not have Windows installed and I've yet to encounter any games that interest me that I cannot play on it.

I've backed something like 2-dozen games on Kickstarter. All of them are either currently in alpha, beta, or there are regular updates on progress. I'd imagine that the number is quite low for flunked projects.
