The old "saturated fat is gonna give you a heart attack" claim has been debunked repeatedly in the scientific litterature; health organizations (and various health gurus; mostly ethical vegans) prefer to be stubborn and not adjust their suggestions based on the science.

Dude, I started with Morrowind. Let me tell you something: it's still too aged to go back to! I've tried more than once, and unless you're drinking some serious koolaid (ie: really really in to it), it's just not happening. Even with HD mods and other little things; it's a bitch. The gameplay is so damned clunky by

I built my HTPC the year before last for watching movies/anime/tv episodes and gamming (well, games that play well with a controller). It's my pride and joy!

There was a debate of sorts on the consumption of raw milk between the Weston A Price Foundation (Pro) and a lawyer and a farm inspector (Con). The debate had some issues and so there wasn't enough time for the sides to debate; just present their case and answer some questions from people. Just FWIW

Pretty much.

Raw milk is quite safe and the risk is very low. If you buy it from a pasture-based farm, the ecoli count is dramatically lower and there's really little risk as long as the farmer has a brain and does their job correctly (sterilize the udders, sterilize the containers, use a

I second this. I can't remember the last time a game failed to run on my PC

In my experience, lots of schools do sparring, but most do only point sparring with tournament rules (some also just do randori), fewer do continuous sparring. Of course, fewer still focus on training a technique against a fully resisting opponent (especially traditional schools, sadly).

Linux is made out to be scarier and more complicated than it really is. If you can use google, then you can use Linux.

6 years ago I made the jump to Ubuntu as my primary OS. I knew very little about Ubuntu and Linux. After the first week, I was fairly used to things. I really liked some of the alternative programs I

I don't tinker with anything; I have no problems. I dual boot on my PC with Ubuntu being my primary OS (I use Windows for a very small handful of games that won't run in Linux) and my HTPC is Ubuntu-only. I think the closest I've come to "tinkering" is setting up WINE tricks for 1 or 2 games.

I can play the broad majority of my games in Ubuntu, no problem (with a good number of them being Linux versions and not run through WINE). Though, I mostly play indies and indies are getting a ton of multiplatform support. Still, even with WINE there are a great number of games that are supported.

I thought I read on their Kickstarter page that they were supporting Linux as well

I assume they'll spoil faster that way

I see your point. In my circles, n3 and n6 ratio is a big deal, so I see it come up a lot. Yes, the most common oils do have a large imbalance. They're the supposedly "heart healthy" ones, and they're usually cheaper than olive oil, animal fats, and exotic oils. I think people squirm about cooking oils because "omgz I

I use mostly butter and lard. After that, bacon grease.

The avoidance of PUFA - universally - has more to do with the ratio if omega 3 to omega 6. Lots of folks do avoid these because of concern over gmo, but nearly every article I read on this topic has to do with the ratio, not GMO.

I generally use sesame oil for Asian dishes; it gives them a nice taste.
