Today’s result made me so very happy, even if it is only the first step and 40% voted no, the yes campaign still prevailed. Now it is up to Malcolm Turnbull to keep his promise and get this through parliament.

So did I; My cousin and her fiancée were interviewed for a major paper and have fought hard for this campaign and I am so relieved for them that we got this result (I had my yes vote in the post box within 10 minutes of receiving it).

There was a link to an interview from just after her first was born in an earlier thread... the crux of it was, she was in labour but it wasn’t progressing and she was given the option of having a c-section or going home again and waiting it out... she chose c-section partly because there were a bunch of paparazzi…

I had a friend in high school who’s last words to her father were “I hate you”, she didn’t, she adored him; we were only 15.
