This thing does have some weird TPI look alike intake on it. And I could never figure out if the Mercury company involved with the LT5 is the same as the Mercury Marine company or not...

300bhp in a rear wheel drive car is fun. In a FWD car it's just more power than you need to get groceries.

Choosing between the Porsche and the Mclaren would be like choosing which testicle to keep.

I dont believe in snake oil bullshit. I dont believe in additives. Id ont believe in seafoam, octane boosters, marvel mystery oil, or anything else. But when it comes my flat tappet camshafts, they will get more zinc than they need by any means I can figure out how to do it. Flat tappet cams and high zinc oils go

I have a 3rd gen, quality is a little better but it's a far more dated design. In good shape like mine they look pretty nice. But this wind blowing through that you speak of, that's going to be a characteristic of a LOT of cars that have frameless windows. I think there's a proper term for it but a lot of sports cars

Just because a car is at the drag strip doesn't mean it's a drag car. Judging by the lack of roll bar, it's clearly a street car.

Awful accented trim panel fail, agree. But hey we were all young and stupid once...

Dont be an idiot, a ton of people drag race t-top cars.

Don't be ridiculous. There are MANY combustible liquids that can be fermented or synthesized that can be used in an ICE other than fossil fuels. We use fossil fuels because they're cheap and plentiful and we are very efficient as using them at this point. But we can always run cars on alcohol fermented from our own

I completely agree, plus Gone in 60 Seconds is much less of a remake and much more of a sequel to the original gone in 60 seconds. The script is a modified version of the sequel that Halicki was shooting when he was killed. All these references to "being a reformed car thief" and "saving little brother", this is all

maybe next time carry 6-10 cans of plastidip with you and just spray bomb the car under an overpass.

If you do a little research, those guys are notorious for taking people's money and never delivering the product. What a shame, he builds some REALLY impressive stuff, but apparently he spends all his time making youtube videos instead of delivering goods.

If it were "too much for the dyno" then the dyno would just read low. Unless you mean the 2200hp is too much for some ratchet straps.

Thats just stupid. God forbid a car guy want a fun car that isnt an economy car. I suppose if he had a miata or a civic he'd be okay? That's ridiculous.

Nowhere near as big as some of the others mentioned (my vote is Chernobyl. Fukushima at least had most of its radiation dumped into the sea, which still sucks, but it limits direct impacts on human living space) but I bring it up because it's such an interesting story. The Goiania incident in Brazil. An MRI machine

Dan Neil was just as much of a useless pompous vaginal washing device when he was on The Car Show with Adam Corolla. Always complaining about pollution and praising hybrids and organic foods and whatnot. I mean there's a place for that, but things like The Car Show and a Viper review are not that place. No one buys a

Dan Neil is such an idiot. He loves his hybrid economy cars and generic SUV's and that's wonderful. He is not the target market for cars like the Viper and he's not a car guy the way we are car guys.

Badge engineering aside, it's a decent car. My mom has had 2 of them over the past 8 or so years. I drive it on occasion and it really is a decent driving vehicle. It's even surprisingly quick for what it is. Interior was nice, sound system was great. In fact I like pretty much everything about it except that hideous

Yeah it's a good point. I cant believe I forgot about the Lt5. Super wicked engine. I actually got to see one years ago.

Those engines are MUCH lower profile than the Ford Modular motors I was moer directly referring too. They made a lot of design sacrifices to be able to fit the LT5 into the corvettes, too. And Im not sure you could fit them into a modern corvette at all.
