Don’t think I’ve ever been without one. Currently have a 67 Skylark.

R16 if I remember right (been 15 years or more). Not a bad little lump, but iron block/head, OHV. Might even be non crossflow too. Though the L-series is as well.
In hindsight, I’m now recalling the fun of roaring around town with my dog standing on the center console and/or with bikes strapped to the trunk rack.
Coming from an MGG, I could see it. But coming from a 240Z or three, it seemed like a major step backwards - high price to pay for wind in your hair.
Don’t even get me started on the Miata. My teenage son is at the age where a project is appealing. 50-year old American steel, or a beater Miata?
Or you could have a contemporary 240Z with struts all around, IRS, a properly synchronized transmission, electrics from this century, unibody construction so you can actually sit down in the car, an engine you can actually get parts for, I could go on.
A Datsun nut since forever, trust me, these cars suck. Body on frame, British-style electrica, and your fabulous choice of an underpowered and archaic engine or an underpowered and unobtanium engine.
It’s a PV, and it’s done enough for now.
Indeed! Maybe it’s just having kids and occasionally needing the backseats, or maybe it’s a stint as a CTSV owner, but I’ve really come to appreciate the utility of the back doors(on my mk6 GTI).
What do I want to know?
Glad someone got it.
...up to 3,100 horsepower. ...the Race Key fob unlocks up to 1,550 HP ... the Pleasure Key is used for 1,350 HP
Puzzled at that, assuming the reply was directed at me.... now admittedly I haven’t put a lot of time or miles on it, but it responded well to the bolt ons, behaves perfectly civilly, and hasn’t needed anything but coils, brake pads, and an oil change.
You didn’t ask me, but as a Mk6 owner (and former trackrat) I can say, get the PP if you want to drive it hard. With the APR 1.5 tune, first (and often second) are useless when the boost comes on.
You sure that’s not a manual? Sounds like the synchroless reverse arguing madly with its engagement while the clutch is disengaged, then a clutch drop after reverse is engaged and the clutch/pp and flywheel are rotating in opposite directions.
Roll cage
Since when does “insoluble.... mean[s] it’s less dense than water.”??
Fake quarter glass? FOR SHAME.
I don’t think they’re playing him...
I don’t know from twitter, but isn’t a wall-of-text series of posts kind of contrary to the purpose?
