Thanks so much to both of you for the quality journalism and insane ramblings (you can choose who gets which accolade).

So, when does it come to PC?

Ah, so yesterday was a banner day. I was second in the left lane, C7 was second in right. Light changed, I was moseying along 2-3 carlengths behind my leader (being an old man) and C7 was held up behind car turning right.

While I’m impressed that a machine can learn/be tought the ephemera of sportsmanship, trailbraking is “not something human beings would be able to do, conventionally.”

I hear that. Even though I have a couple of ~3sec 0-60 cars, I find myself acting like a hypermiling noob prius owner. “Did I hit 30mpg on the drive to work today?”

Guilty as charged. My daily commute has two spots where it’s two straight lanes at the light, with the lane on the right ending immediately and merging after the intersection. The gentlemanly thing is to leave the right lane open so people turning right can go on red, since we all have to get into the one through lane

Dammit, take your star already.

I’ve read some garbage here, but this is about the garbagiest garbage ever.

Thanks for posting!  Appreciate your hard work and detailed content.  A nice contrast to a lot of recent “articles” here.

Other than not having a co-dependent, sounds like we’re in the same boat.... I’ve got four cars that are “mine” (72 240Z, 64 Falcon, 08 z06, 16 GolfR) and drive a total of maybe (maybe!) 5K/yr, and probably a lot less. I covet the damn hunks of metal and plastic (ahem, looking at you, Corvette) but don’t really do

I was cured of this many years ago when my wife quit trying to talk me out of my latest harebrained scheme and started saying, “Sure honey, that sounds like a great deal, you should buy it.”

So, as someone who likes FPS/AA/RPG type games, with a mild snobbery toward newer games (better graphics), what’s a good place to jump into the series?

Oh my ... can’t believe I did that.  Even know most of the words to Thunder Kiss 65, so I can’t use lack of articulation as an excuse.

Thanks for the post.  Have been greedily claiming Epic games forever, but had zero idea about Amazon.

When my kids were wee laddies, I found myself chanting “Meet the Keeper” (to the tune of “Meet the Reaper”) when I saw signs inviting us to talk to the staff at the zoo.

(Valhalla is definitely the weakest of the three modern AC’s, IMO).

Thanks for taking notice! Honest question - were these nice cars owned by nice people who took nice care of them? Or people who bought beaters on their last legs and beat them until they died? I’ve had two (Mk6 + Mk7) and had zero issues (other than replacing the tensioner and changing the clutch post-tune).

Good grief.  You bought a bottom dollar worn out GTI.  Get a nicer one.  Get a 2010-11 with the TSI (be sure tensioner’s been replaced) or a 2012+.  David, you’re lovely, but generalizing about VW’s like that is what kept me afraid of them for so long.

Can’t wait for more stories about how hard it is to find a parking place in NYC.

Well phrased. I’m withholding judgement until I see one in the flesh, but I think I prefer the appearance/styling of my former Mk6 to my current Mk7 to the Mk8.
