Not CA colors on the letters/numbers, though. Probably an obscure requirement/exemption.

Am I the first to remark on the hilarious subtlety of this part?

Horrible turning radius (this matters in real life) appetite for expensive struts, rear drive unit (angle gear), compu-struts, and oh yeah, ENGINE BLOCKS.

There’s also the fact that newer cars are better cars. I grew up a gearhead, tremendously emotionally invested in American Muscle. But fuel injection, ABS, modern construction and electronics, rack-n-pinion, etc, all make for a much more enjoyable and reliable thing to drive on a regular basis. Hell, any basis.

This is so true. But even in-car, something stock, low-miles, and potty trained is pretty refreshing. Something about not having to deal with archaeological-quality grime under your fingernails...

Intercooler and aircleaner would be nice.

Everyone else is wrong

Please tell me a normal blade bumper lurks within this black hearted nod to safety regulations.

Totally in love with the wheel/hubcap/tire. Size, fitment, dish, bulge, everything is just so nice.

As a 42 year old, I’ve seen ‘em all. Intrigued by all the work that’s gone into this, and glad I’m not as big a nerd as some out there.

Man, really something how evocative of the existing car this manages to be, while still bonkers and cutting edge. I like it!

Sedans are in the 15-20K range last I looked. Not sure a wagon is worth that kind of premium.

SUPW DAT would have been better.

Not a Type 1 front end. Agree on the hubs and/or brakes though.

Bias-ply cheater slicks, you so sexy!

I could be wrong, but I think the XDS (or whatever the fakeydiff(tm) is called) is standard, the PP gets a real LSD (torsen IIRC) with electronic controls.

I think odds are about even on finding a rational jury in Portland vs SF Bay Area.

Be warned, they are expensive to maintain. Not quite S-class Mercedes, but in the ballpark. Mostly the suspension, but also the rear drive unit.

STS-V is a SC’d Northstar, not LS.

I think you’re on the money here.
