He’s not full of shit, and did say the Cayman was “detune[d] a little less” than the Boxster, meaning the Cayman always had more power, as you said. Granted, that can be a bit confusing, but cool your jets iceman.

That’s what he said. Perhaps “detune it less” was too hard for you to understand.

Because they removed two cylinders. Less is always more with Porsche.

The Boxster came first. The Cayman was always a hardtop Boxster but since Boxster = Boxer + Roadster, they couldn’t very well call it that. So what they did instead was detune it a little less than the Boxster and pretend it was a different car and ask for more money for it.

its also the Newport cigarette logo.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. I never said it wasn’t good. I would never say it is anything less than objectively perfect.

Entry level *exotic*

There’s is absolutely nothing exotic about this vehicle aside from the stats.

Super duper car? Yes. Exotic? No.

Gotta love being white in the U.S. of A!!

[Insert post about Hennessey stealing money from customers here]

Father Demuro.....is that you........?

im the other end of the spectrum.. just give me the gauges i need to know im not speeding or about to explode and im happy..

The 90s ones were pretty quick in EX form. And with some mods, they could easily take on the fastest cars you could get back then. Turbocharging a EJ Civic is almost trivial.

Less stress!

How many people do you meet or just pass by on the street gives a shit about ‘drift mode’ and driving dynamics? None. You’ll be driving a Focus and that’s it.

That’s great for me, the buyer on the receiving end of that depreciation.

Who says they don’t want their nice cars? They took their cars to the limit-and beyond- and ended up with a great story! None of the cars are particularly rare or even especially special. Maserati would love to sell these guys some new cars so they could do it again.

You pretty much nailed it with the front and rear roll centers being out of whack. Fords have been doing this for at least as long as Jim Clark was driving Lotus Cortinas. The degree of yaw in that drift car makes it look wonkier than it really is.

I myself was hoping to start an aftermarket vinyl face sticker business for Model 3 customers... you know, to fund my Model S. >:)
