Oh Doug... This one is easy. Have a support truck with enclosed trailer meet you at the front door of where you are going. You get out, they park the Aston in the enclosed trailer, and you go about your business. No dings, no hassle.

In some places (Note: I am not admitted to the bar nor do I have specifics of California criminal procedure), it is possible to charge second degree murder (or other high level offense), and for the jury to return guilt on a lesser count.
Left lane laws do not solve stupid. Street racing is stupid.
Plus you get the supplier network for BMW in the Upstate, multiple tracks within a few hours (CMP, Road Atlanta, AMP, Roebling Road), and nice backroads in the foothills of the Upstate.
I had to do this on the Audi I own, and VW is known for using the internal spline type locks.
EPA rule on swaps is that the final powertrain + car *combination* must have been originally certified by the manufacturer.
And since the EPA would (likely) also want to state that just about any piece of the engine can *theoretically* affect emissions (via changing the charge air temperature and back pressure), therefore *all* pieces of the engine from the start of the intake to the end of the exhaust are therefore subject to emissions…
Am 6'3". Can confirm.
They are probably drowning in debt. People who can *write a check* for $75,000 for a car are rarely going to be in a GM/Ford/FCA dealership getting a new F-350 diesel dualie 4x4.
Pull the ABS fuse and learn to threshold brake :)
ABC (or more generally, most hydropneumatic suspension designs) accomplish the same thing that the Bose EM design does, but do in fact weigh less. Some of the Citroen designs are more correctly described as semi-active, but the concept of an electronically controlled hydropneumatic suspension is something that me…
Bonus points: GM has the RPO sticker on GMT800 and GMT900 trucks in the glove box.
Sometimes that doesn’t work. For instance, if you get upsized brakes with the more powerful engine, and the smaller wheels don’t physically clear the calipers.
Add in some rolling small hills and then you can turn up the lunacy to Atlanta levels.
Point of order: You need to get sprinklers and ice the track over and then teach everyone to drive on ice.
Come to Atlanta for the Ice party on the Interstates! Bonus points since we have hills!
This is what we are also doing in Atlanta. At least when we abandon our cars, it’s way more than one inch of snow, usually topped with a few inches of sheet ice.
VW still makes a good car
This is what is called “Sacramento Logic.”
I work in logistics as a consultant, and it is not at all shocking to hear stories of people who got thousand dollar plus expense reports turned down by clients for stuff like this, even when the amount actually spent on a competitor’s product was less than $5.
