Cadillac has been wanting some exclusive powertrains for their cars, rather than sharing the chassis, parts of the suspension, AND the engine with just a pedestrian Chevy Camaro.
Good Lord that is awful. Even the Camaro SS instrument cluster looks more modern. And with the Camaro SS 1LE, you get all the suspension goodies like the ATS-V, AND you get a proper small-block V8.

Speaking as a gay man with a diesel pickup (that tows race cars to the track), that must mean that pickup trucks are gay cars too.
The half tons have been EPAS since 2014 or so (since the switch to EcoTec3 engines, which are Gen V small-blocks).
The main stumbling block will be the power steering pump. As in a fully dressed Gen V engine doesn’t have one in any GM application.
Also being honest: the BMWs just don’t feel as special as the way they used to.
