As someone who bought Sparks and Sonics new, my next disposable daily would probably be a Versa with a stick.

I just got a new SI at MSRP.
Your number one goal should be to learn math. $ 24 000 new, $ 29 000 now - that’s not 50 % guy
KBB is NOT a good measure of a car like this. Now I agree it’s probably overpriced unless it went on BAT and got into a bidding war. But since KBB is based on auction and sales values, when there’s something that’s so low miles that there’s no reference point, particularly something that’s collectible/desirable at…
FWIW, that 2009 money is worth about $34k today. So I wouldn’t say the car’s price has appreciated. Truly I, of course, don’t appreciate it at all.
Reminds me back when “employee self-evaulations” first came out.
At that price point, if you don’t need the higher ground clearance I’d suggest a minivan as an alternative to a 3-row SUV. A fully-loaded Odyssey/Sienna is the same price, lower ground clearance for easier ingress/egress, better reliability, better dealership/service experience, higher resale/lower depreciation.
Isn’t that the same thing? Have you ever had a good experience at a dealership that said “Have a job? Make $200 a week? Breath at least occasionally? You Are APPROVED!!!”
Who is paying almost 20 percent over msrp for their cars? Not anyone I know. I paid 600 over for my Bolt EV to get it while I could get 2500 in rebates and the 7500 tax credit and I’m still a bit mad about it.
No. I’ve gone 6 months to a year between fill ups on a car before and they run just fine. If it optimal? No… but will it work fine? Absolutely. When gas. Gets to be 20 years old tho idk.
The only really surprising car (to me) is the versa. The ranger has finally proven that many people want a small (ish) truck that isn’t a Toyota.
Yeah, on message boards for the newest (11th gen.) Civic, there are lots of horror stories about dealers charging $5k (~15+%) or more in ADM.
Regular gasoline takes three to six months to decay, according to JD Power, but American gasoline contains an ethanol blend. Ethanol breaks down even faster, taking just one to three months before turning into an unusable mess.
Nissan, Kia, Ford.
I don’t get it at all. I’m actually in the 3-row market and do agree with the consensus that the Telluride is one of the best options. However, it’s the best by maybe $2-4k over the equally optioned competition. With how heavily Kia has over-priced everything on their lots, I refuse to even to go to one. Carmax is the…
CVTs have been fine for years. People just keep complaining about them like they are the first gen Nissan’s paired with their V6 (which those did grenade very early). A few other first gens were generally less reliable, but most commuter sedans/CUVs have been using a CVT as the norm for over a decade and cars are…
Sure the Telluride is a good car, but there comes a point where it just doesn’t make sense anymore. A loaded one is $53k MSRP. 17% over that makes it $62k. Sure you’re going to have lower service costs over a luxury brand, but you won’t get a loaner at a Kia dealership and there’s definitely a monetary value to good…
Probably has a lot to do with Nissans selling tactics in low income areas.
19% over MSRP for a *KIA Rio* proves that there are suckers born every day. I assume part of this is because they will finance anyone who can fog a mirror? At least based on the radio ads for the KIA dealerships around me.
