I liked the remake of this and The Italian Job better than the originals.

Can confirm.  My 5sp tC is geared so low that it runs about that, and highway driving is definitely annoying AF...

3rd Gear: This is why I refuse to pay extra for all of the “new” technology in cars today, because tech moves WAY too fast for me to not have an out-of-date hunk of shit in your car. I remember the mid-00s when in-dash Nav systems were freaking an extra $2,000 for a ~3.5" screen, and you had to pay hundreds of dollars

Here’s how to make car shopping in this day and age not suck:

Current average sales price is $45k.

It’s not that hard to make. The MR2, Fiero, etc proved that part. The hard part is getting people to buy the thing in an era of shitty crossovers.

Did you miss the part about how this is still just a fantasy?

1965 Mustang fastback for a full-on resto-mod. I mean, if we’re playing fantasy here with a $25k crate engine, I may as well have a shell and the expertise to combine the two as well.

I’m not saying that the Firebird would win any beauty contests, but that smirking little face on the Orochi is just ridiculous.

They almost certainly will be charged with murder, along with felony assault on a cop, and a whole bunch of other charges.

We did this as well back in the day (got a blank check from Lending Tree and if we signed it it would have accepted the loan), and sure enough the dealership matched it (beat it by 0.02% or something). Looking back I wish I’d just told the dealership to stuff it and gone with my own financing. Would have served them

Eh, in 1989 the Voyager/Caravan were also available with a 142hp v6, which was quieter and smoother than the turbo 4, although that had a few more ponies (150hp).  By ‘94 they didn’t even offer the turbo 4 anymore due to waning interest (and a slight power bump in the v6 that actually matched the turbo 4 in

I’ve always used flashers when I’m driving dramatically *under* the speed limit due to the weather. If it’s a crazy snowstorm and I’m doing 20mph on a highway with a 70mph speed limit, I’m putting my hazards on to tell people behind me that I’m going slower than they might expect. I do the same when I’m going slow in

For me it’s not just about the calorie/cost ratio, but the meat/bread ratio. I can’t stand burgers that have too much (cheap) bread and not enough (more expensive) meat, which is why the BigMac is pretty much the dumbest burger out there. I also just prefer a diet higher in protein (and fat) over one that is higher in

Pretty sure I blame Mercedes for turning it in to a Gucci bag when they’re selling them at $140k apiece.

I feel like there are really only two types of people on NPoCPND: People who are like “this vehicle sucks, I wouldn’t buy it at any price” and “sure it’s a pile of shit, but other people pay more for worse piles of shit, so it’s a good value! (ahem, see pretty much any old, shitty VW).”

Lol, “can” afford and “willing to pay” are two completely different things here.
