That’s great. It’s also cloudy and cool where I live today, so global warming doesn’t exist! See, isn’t using a single personal anecdote so much more fun than looking at actual data?

Lol, in 100% of my experiences in buying cars, buying it in cash is better than financing it. Money has to come from somewhere, and if you’re borrowing it, someone else has to be paid for the use of it.
Every time I hear about HD doubling-down on their shrinking customer base of old white boomers, this is all I can think of:
Cash > Finance > Lease
Redid the floor in my bathroom ~15 years ago, and just used the manual cutter and an angle grinder for the round bits (toilet, etc). Doesn’t have to be perfect, and grout covers a multitude of sins.
The best parts of the old Top Gear were light-years ahead of the best of the Grand Tour. Sure, there was the celeb interviews, etc, but go back and watch the specials and you’ll see that they were just *magical*. Botswana. US South. Vietnam. Patagonia. The North Pole.
Pretty sure that banning bumper stickers would also run afoul of the 1st Amendment’s right to free speech. States can ban stickers on the window since it constitutes a driving hazard (impaired vision), but a law prohibiting speech on the rest of your car would be almost impossible to defend in court.
I really enjoyed the story and especially the *feel* of the second one. There’s “the choice” at the end of Chapter 1, and based on your choice not only is the storyline different, but the whole outlook of the game is different. One gets you dragons, and fairies, and (relatively) light and fluffy fantasy style…
In my stupid days, we packed 4 people in to a CR-X. Anything is possible...
We sure as fuck do!!
Exactly. Which is why I’m suggesting we maybe make it a bit harder for criminals to get guns?
I’ve yet to see a class-action lawsuit against Microsoft or Apple or Google for ransomware attacks, so I’m not sure why your car would be any different?
Yup. For us going from $350/month to $0/month was a bit of an eye-opener, and suddenly that new MINI didn’t seem so appealing anymore. Was way easier to justify when it was only $10 or $20/month more than it was $370/month more.
While true, maybe (and hear me out, now), maybe we try to make guns less accessible to bad people, so that police don’t have to worry about every single motorist possibly getting out and shooting them?
You know what Britain should do? They should form some type of union with the rest of Europe. Then they could sell their cars to Europe, and the rest of Europe could sell their products to the UK. Maybe have a set of agreed-upon rules and regulations so it would be a level playing field, and work on policies that…
Careful, it gets addicting. We paid off the car we bought in ‘04 in ‘08 (5 year loan, paid it off one year early) and haven’t had a car payment since. I’m not sure I could go back to paying $400+/month just for the privilege of driving a nicer car.
Honestly, we’ll probably never know the truth behind this. But seriously, you don’t find it a *little* suspicious that this guy is filming a TikTok video, lying about owning the car, and just *randomly* comes across something that is so blatant it would have probably been caught multiple times either at the factory or…
Nope. But it does come off when a TikTokWhore removes it first, and then films himself “finding” it when it just happens to fall off in his hand.
About as plausible as cops just walking over and immediately“finding” the drugs that they’d planted there seconds before they turned on their body cameras.
