I'm not saying that Marriage is the end game for a relationship, but it clearly seems that they may not have discussed what they both wanted. If Lewis wanted to not get married, maybe he shouldn't have strung her along for 7 years. This is all assuming he doesn't want to get married and she does.

Adults... can't figure out that settling down after 7 years of a relationship is a good or bad idea. Hrm. Makes you wonder why he was dating her in the first place.
