well before I was born my mom had an orange pinto with a racing stripe, and my dad had an 80s accord hatch with a manual, despite that I’m still into cars.

I’ve always liked Dax, knowing he’s an auto enthusiast makes me like him even more. I’ll give the show a try if I remember to download the app. There just isn’t enough good automotive TV going on throughout the year... we get top gear every now and then for a few weeks, then the grand tour for a few weeks, then…
It might be, but I like the focus interior better than the WRX and he says the reason he doesn’t want one of those is he doesn’t want to look like a vape bro, not because the interior is gross.
It couldn’t be new, but the focus RS is awesome and you can get an ‘18 and it probably won’t depreciate all that much over its life.
I really appreciate the current golf, in both GTI and R forms. I think they’re classy and fun, but this new one just screams ugly to me. I think they lifted the headlights from the Chevy Cruze.
I love this. It feels like the 13-19 BMW design language (which is good, because their new pig nostril designs are disgusting). Here’s to hoping it comes to market as a RWD car looking like that.
I don’t mind it. It’s definitely a big leap from what we currently have on the roads, but it will be striking to see. Is the whole back panel over the truck bed a solar panel? If not, it should be. It also has a pretty low starting price which is nice to see (if Tesla can keep it there).
Am I the only one that is tired of seeing electric car concepts? I want to see cool electric cars that people can buy, not concepts that could be “one day”. Even if you don’t like the name, Ford did right with the Mustang Mach-E.
Neutral:
I think that shifting to focus on the performance benefits is a smart move. And I have two points to make my case:
Haha! They’re driving around in the dead of winter without a top on their car, but the luggage racks make them crazy.
I think the 2013 era Audi designs were and still are some of the best looking cars on the road. I think Audi has taken a huge step back in design since then.
because neither of them have invested in new (let alone exciting) cars since 2 fast 2 furious?
These look incredibly similar to indycar... well before indycar adopts the windshield.
According to Jeremy Clarkson the best AWD system is in the Focus RS...
what happened at deadspin?
Very true, that’s something that the camaro had going for it this round even though sales have been way down.
I’d love to be a both-and, but i’m a RS only car. I’m in the great white north so Type R wasn’t on my radar since I wanted AWD for a fun everyday car, but that is an amazing machine.
as a former ST owner turned RS owner, I’m curious... what did you get?
Which is a shame because the ZR1 was always supposed to be the stupid fast ridiculous Corvette, and the Z06 is supposed to be the track weapon. I would take the Z06 over the GS though...
True, but people rave about the camaro platform, and that has the same limitations.
