I’m not an expert, so can someone explain to me why GM trying to close unprofitable plants is a bad thing? I understand that it is bad for the workers, but if the plant isn’t making the company money, it seems like a really bad business decision to keep it open. It seems like GM sees another recession coming, and

given your budget, and I saw below that you’re looking in the used market too... why not a focus RS or a Golf R? Both are AWD, amazing to drive, and well below your limit.

I love this. I love that people do it to jerks that try to pass everyone.
HOWEVER... I think that traffic would flow better if people didn’t do this, and just let the jerk be the jerk and keep the flow of traffic moving.

I’d like it to look cool, be affordable (20k range) and quick. Also, don’t make it look like an electric car.

that is clean!

can I fit golf clubs in the trunk? I have a Focus ST right now (very practical) but I can only put the clubs in the trunk if I take the driver and woods out first. Minor inconvenience? Yes. Am I thinking about getting another car because of how much it annoys me? Yes.

I’m betting that when we start seeing these things on the road, a lot of people that say they don’t like it now will in fact love it. I didn’t like the s550 mustang when it came out, but I love it now. Same with the 2016 camaro (though I still don’t like the refresh of if).

I agree. and fast is relative. 155 is still screaming fast, but my point was that in a race that goes above those speeds, just about any ICE sports car would catch the tesla eventually

I know. I honestly think that in the future, supercars will be closer to irrelevant as the world goes electric. As costs come down, acceleration will no longer be an expensive option.

really? that’s surprising. I know it has a low center of gravity, but its also heavy. what tracks? all I’ve heard is that they feel “floaty” but I guess that doesn’t necessarily mean not fast.

how about in the standing mile? or around a track? tesla’s are crazy quick, and I marvel at the engineering they’ve done to make them so fast, but they’re kind of a one trick pony right now, with even the highest trim topping out at 155. at what point (or would) the kia catch up?

Dear Nissan,

any word on if they’ll bring back mazdaspeed for this iteration? It is very pretty and I’d love one that is quick/fun to drive... AND I might actually buy it

I realize that styling is subjective, but I think they’ve made a turn for the worst. The current car is SO much better looking than this new one in my meaningless opinion.

I’d do all of Route 66 from Chicago to California in a red Corvette with the pop top off. Then finish the trip by heading up highway 1. Historic roads, beautiful views and an all-american V8. It doesn’t get better than that.

I didn’t know any of the history of the Dodge brothers until now. Great article! I’d love to read more content like this.

you guys would be best to ask here...

GM has the capability to mass produce these bikes and get the cost down to something reasonable, hundreds of dollars instead of thousands even... but I’m guessing they wont. These will be overpriced novelty items so that GM can say they’re “trying” but it won’t be cheap enough for many people to adopt. I would also
