Yeah but the Tesla owners were probably proud to be waiting in line. Looks like ~20 cars in line for ~15 charging stations and there aren’t even any overcompensating lifted diesels blocking any. That’s nothing - ever been to a Chick Fil A drive through?

They need to make Tesla’s supercharger an SAE standard so other companies don’t feel like they are losing face by adopting a competitor’s system.

I recently almost took out a guy crossing the street against the red at 4:30 in the morning.

Why is it “GALLING” that the drugged up bike rider was given partial responsibility for getting hit?

“having drugs in her system at the time of the crash, a fact which, in its most charitable interpretation, means Herzberg was not alert enough to dive out of the way of the Uber SUV prior to impact.”

GTFO with your facts and reason. Er….STICK TO EMOTION.

Just an FYI, because this comes up every time the NTSB publishes a report:

This vehicle is a museum piece

10% of the general population are idiots. Anything that gets 90% is considered unanimous.

This car is like the automotive equivalent of Baby Boomer-ism.

You “can’t pull into traffic” with a car with a low 6 second (or mid 7 seconds for the automatic) 0-60 time???

I plan on putting the electric motor from a Barbie Hot Wheels Jeep in my father’s Dodge Caliber, so he can finally experience some real power.

Sure, it might cost that to recreate it, but the question is “why?”. It’s a 27 year old point-and-steer econobox. There’s nothing interesting about it.

It’s tradition, landspeeders have always been open cockpit and enclosing it in any way would go against that tradition. I mean, maybe some sort of rigid frame that could deflect debris could work. Perhaps call it a ‘halo’? But no way can there be a windshield or any other device that would enclose the cockpit - how

Totally irrelevant to the specific topic, but while looking for any images of a land speeder with a roof, I found this. Now I want it.

Minivan would be a good platform, too. Less all-terrain capability of course but more headroom and fuel economy!

That’s a nice Ford Contour.

Because motorcycles are fun.

I gotta wonder how much payload this thing has remaining. From what I could find, 4x4 extended cab models had about 1,400 pounds of payload stock? Deduct 350 pounds for the front bumper and winch and tire carrier, and another 250 pounds for the extended range fuel tank (filled), 200 pounds for the topper, and this

Well said, Kirk.
