So since I don’t play FFXIV I decided to Google it from what I can see there’s some form of micro transaction that you can use to buy vanity. The only gamling seems to be at the Gold Saucer where you play mini games that gives you points that you can redeem for rewards, like an arcade.

Not only that but it’s a good way to learn mechanics and layouts for the fights in said dungeons. That way you’re prepared when you go with other people

I can’t even describe how much I love trusts as a tank. The ability to go through the dungeon the first time at my own pace, not worrying about getting anyone killed since I don’t know any mechanics, is so much less anxiety inducing than a normal party.

So first of all, there are constantly people joining the game (c.f. my two friends) as well as people going back and leveling up alternate jobs. The community in FF14 is pretty good and you’d have no problem finding other people who are just starting out, or FCs (the FF14 version of Guilds) that would be happy to help…
