Reading up this morning about Hana Kimura’s (Japanese pro wrestler/Terrace House... participant? contestant?) passing. I’ll leave the details aside, just... be good to each other, folks.

> I had played an hour of XV years ago and dabbled with one of the MMO games too.
Last time I fell down a PSP-shaped rabbithole (specifically to play Crisis Core) I found that batteries were becoming challenging to source. OEM batteries were made years ago, and third-party batteries on your online retailer of choice seem inconsistent in terms of their quality.
Jenova fight was pretty great. Enjoyed the music evolving over time the further along you got. But one thing...
> Your teammates will point it out, too.
I listened to the first episode yesterday. Strong recommend, picks up right where Splitscreen left off.
I got a kick out of the names of the opponents in these competitions. I know someone who is huge into weightlifting so I’ve heard of Jules Bacon, Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler just by seeing them get sucked into that world. Kind of a funny reference, can’t imagine there’s a ton of crossover between RPGs and…
I had to do it 3 times because I went down the wrong route once. It *does* eventually get easier, but on my third play through I whiffed on interrupting Heavensward (basically just watch for the elemental change right before HH divebombs you and counter with its weakness) and wiped at 2% on the first try. So... yeah,…
The real challenge with chapter 9 is redoing it in hard mode, not once but twice, to get the manuscripts that drop *after* the fight with Hell House. Took me a couple hours to climb that wall. (It’s a fair fight, just to be clear, but learning the encounter is rough.)
I finished the story a couple days ago on normal mode. Now on chapter 6 of hard mode. Hard mode has been great about forcing me to dig into the toolkit and find ways to survive through the lack of ability to use any items at all and MP restoration at rest points. Operator mode and parrying has come up as one of my…
The only way for balance in the universe to be restored is for another game to be released early. One which is perhaps already completed and may in fact be available at retail in one country...
Support for PS2 was phased out in later revisions, I think by 2008 it was completely gone. I have a 60GB model that still works perfectly fine!
I started playing Trails of Cold Steel back in August when it finally made its way to the top of the stack. 300+ hours and five months later, I’m halfway through Cold Steel IV which I had to import because it isn’t out in English yet. It’s been an incredibly enjoyable series to play through. The music is good, the…
This trailer looks like it’s 60fps, but wasn’t the original game 30fps? Does that mean P5R is now going to be 60fps too? Or is my memory too fuzzy... it’s been a year and a half since my second play-through.
Yes, that’s how that works. They’re supposed to have millions of test machines covering every possible hardware configuration that exists and spend a year doing “Q&A”! Otherwise, that’s just being sloppy.
Nobody:
My Japanese is just good enough to get by on this ad. I feel like those old guys talking about playing the game 22 years ago, mostly because at this point I’m one of them. Can’t wait to check out the remake.
STICK TO SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT
It’ll be around forever - there are raids from 2013 that still get run in roulettes.
NWA Power is so good, love the studio format. Still getting acquainted with all the folks on the show, going in I didn’t really know of anyone other than Aron Stevens (from his WWE days) and Jim Cornette.
