@pauljones: Here again I find myself intrigued. You hit the nail on the head with the Vee-Dub. I drove a manual once and it wasnt half bad because of that simple fact. That was the only thing that made it even mildly entertaining.

Anything made by Toyota, recently and anything with wheels bigger than it was designed with.
It looks like a fish. Ew.
@FodderTheSane: I appreciate that! I cannot wait to see the C-max on these roads. Like a tall Focus station wagon. And while we are at it, can I please have a genuince Chevrolet Cruze wagon/hatch? Wasted words, I know.
@FodderTheSane: I actually drive an HHR. Please don't judge me on that alone. I drive it because it is good on gas and it was a steal. I agree with you about the functionality limitations and the visibility limitations. I also feel that a Cruze sized mpv is necessary. I think the Orlando would do well in this…
And yet for some reason with the HHR dying we in America can't have it? Makes perfect sense. Also what is up with dumbing down those lines? Was it really that hard to stamp out a sharper crease?
Murphy's law.
Bidding just ended and it sold for 40,100. Wow. Obviously that person did not see the picture of the real stingray concept.
Uh....Me thinks ur carz on firez. U might want to do something about that.
That horn is in need of some Viagra.
It's still no Pontiac G8 GXP (Or Impala SS for that matter). Just saying.
I still cannot get over that rear end. It would look so much better if that blacked out C-pillar was not there. Or keep it blacked out but eliminate the chrome strip around the window. Otherwise this is an utterly beautiful car. From the front.
That'll buff right out.
I guess that all depends on whether you are the one holding the record or the one breaking the record.
306 hp and 40mpg? Oh wait, that's right I would buy the car based on looks alone even if it was 140 hp and got 20 mpg.
@Zadkiel: Still I find myself in awe of the absolute absent mindedness of our current driving population. Of course we as a society don't do much to help. Blind spot warning systems, adaptive cruise control. Even Yahoo praised these technologies in a recent article. Kind of scary when you think how completely…
Really? Wow.
@pauljones: +1 this is a great list. At some point in time every automaker has had a great lineup (at least a decent on). These are simply the ones that stand out. The list is ever expanding. As it should be.
@LoganSix: 1990's Toyota's were pretty awesome (reliability and quality wise. Fun to drive, exciting? No.) It is the current generation that I have a problem with. Overall attention to detail and build quality has taken a hit and Toyota seems to have taken the GM approach riding on its own coat tails.
Before I even read the article I was already going to say GM 2.2 litre. I had a Cavalier, Corsica and a Sunfire that all had that motor in it. In less than a year I didn't have any of those cars. Cavalier: head gasket (again). Corsica: water pump/head gasket (then totalled on the way home from repair garage). …
