I’m glad you included borrow in there. My first thought is that this is a car site and a simple post probably would have gotten them many offers of a trailer more suited to the task.

“Edd, your not going to believe what i just bought. It’s a crackin beautiful FF in charcoal grey for only $7500! It will just need a little touch up here and there and a respray. I guess I hadn’t scrolled far enough in my excitement to call David Tracy out on this project that is in at least as good of shape as some of his others.

I bet David Tracy is all over this deal! It’s in at least as good of shape as a few of his current projects. I can see the articles now, My $7,500 Ring Project.

The Chevrolet Chevette, does it “OH BABY”?

The first is plagiarized and the second is unoriginal. Nice Try!

Never even knew there was a Hurst Edition Jeepster Commando! It has the H and I could swear the plaque say’s “Hurst Edition”

The Accord Wagon was also used to block the street with the “Road’s closed pizza boy” car.

Chrysler TC “by Maserati”

I’ve got one rocker that is getting pretty rusty, but the rest is in good shape. It was a plenum smoker and 2nd gear needed the anchor put back in and the band adjusted. Hell, even the headliner only just started falling in the last year. I got pretty lucky and was in the right place at the right time on this one.

The honest answer would be to stick with the 5.2. Tow rating is actually higher (7600 vs 5000 i believe) and less model specific parts. They made 14000 5.9s in 1998 only, so those specific parts can be a bit tough to find. Oh and the 5.9 is Premium fuel only.

Bad plenum gasket meant lots of smoke. 2nd gear band anchor had fallen out as well so no 2nd shift. Someone wanted rid of it, so I got lucky I guess.

The only difference between most $600 Jeeps and $1500 Jeeps is $900. The 5.9 Grand I’ve been driving for the last 4 years was a $600 Jeep and I’ve put about another $500 into it.
